@scottwickett1273 You brought ur negativity all the way over here from Locked on Pistons. Why dont you worry about the Pistons sneaking over 17 wins for the first time in 10 years. The Pacers will be fine and James Wiseman really will be fine. He isnt the Pistons problem anymore and the Pistons for sure isnt his problem. He's off to bigger and better things. I know you hate that.

I can get up shots and make about 35% of my 3s and 75% wide open under the basket. I can't guard a trash can. But give me a contract and see what happens. I'll take 10 mil a year, that's a bargain.

Miami picked up 3 of the guy's I liked in this year's draft. 2 I wanted for the Pacers. Memphis had two, one from a previous year and this year. They were in the championship game. Pacers don't even scout for talent. They just pick a guy from the winning team. No matter if he's a guy off the bench in the college team that won. Or if he's Cole Swider. Lmao.. obviously the way they choose to select talent. They do it all the time..

Sadly since they can't draft for sh!t. Wiseman is actually by far our best prospect from anyone they picked up in the draft, or Cole I can't do anything except shoot. Older Furphy... Pacers have 0 scouting talent. They just pick any guy off the championship college game. Then picked a guy off the Heat Summer League Championship game. Like oh boy, Swider made 19 in a summer league game. Better sign him. Hell with the guys that were playing defense and can shoot both. Lol

All of them are gonna be warming up the bench, unless someone gets hurt. Wiseman's chances are looking to be the best, because Turner IS gonna miss some games. And he needs to up his basketball IQ (which I do not see happening). Swider is in the middle, as far as his chances to appear go. He's a shooter with some abhorrent defense in the Carlisle system. He will do "fine" (meaning people will praise him, despite him sucking arse on defense. Look up "Buddy Hield in Indiana Pacers" if you want an example). Quenton chances are below slim. When he gets his chance, he's gonna do hs Wannamaker-style bullsh*t and that's gonna be that.

@TonyEast. If you can make it happen. I'd love to see Lance Stephenson on the show sometime. He was obviously enjoying himself watching our game's, as we made a playoff run. I'd love to hear his perspective on the direction he thinks the team is going. Or what he'd like to see, or what/who he believes we need to become real Championship contenders. What are his favorite player's, if he thing's Mathurin can be what Lance was for us early on in his career. If he's ever thought about wanting to work with the team's player's. To help develop, train and get the young guy's excited about playing here in Indy. What he's been up to and if we can plan on seeing him in the stands more often this year. If he'd be up for a 10 day, or maybe a vet minimum contract to stay close to the team. Once James Johnson is done after this season. Lol I know I'd love it. Lance brings such a frenetic energy, his personality and energy is contagious. He's always held such a positive impact on the player's and fan's as well. Truly hope to see Lance on the show some day soon. 🙏

I read something not too long ago and didn't follow every single game like in 1998 like I do now. I lived in San Antonio and it was before the cell phone internet boom. I'd always read the summary next day though. Whenever I would watch a national televised game literally alnost every time Reggie would take over the 4th quarter and win the game ESPECIALLY at home. I read an online article about a year ago about Reggies season the first year after Bird took over. He had a ridiculous amount of game winning or game tying shots. I can't remember the exact number but it was a high number. I don't think they did the crunch time minutes Stats like they do now. Beside Michael Jordan Reggie was one of the best Closers I've ever seen. It seemed like literally every 4th quarter of every home game he'd hit a HUGE 3 to put them in the lead or tie the game. He'd do It almost every 4th quarter of every home game. Was absolute money at the free throw line too

I have been attending Pacers game since the 1980s when I lived in Indianapolis. It is impossible to underestimate the impact of Reggie Miller on the fan base so it makes sense that is three seasons where the top three although Knight sounds like a true amazing player and Oladipo had us all enthralled for that short window. I would also 100% agree to focus his best season as when the team did the best. Reggie did not seem to care at all about Personal stats. He was all about the team winning, and that was obviously the obstacle that we faced the entire time. Making the finals was all he ever wanted. He didn’t seem to care abou stats and his team spirit is one reason the city and state fell in love. Remember that he was drafted instwad if Alfred folks were pissed. I think if you asked him, he’d 100% say his best season was the year his team did the best.

We couldn't be any less excited about adding a 45mil a year player. Then still think it does nothing to help. Why is that? Any other team adds that kind of player and we're talking about how much better everyone else is?? 😅 Time to start being honest about this team and Pascal.

I wish the Pacers could make a solid trade. Can we trade our white guy for Santi Aldama? Steal Caruso back from OKC, do our own Bulls trade. Sign Heartinstein and OG. Give Pascal back. Select our own player's with our picks. Go back in time and select Cam Whitmore, or Hendricks over Jarace. Go back and not pass on GG Jackson for Oscar Teshibwa or however the hell you spell it. Would have been awesome had we been able to have gotten Kel'el Ware. Our team could be so much better.. They could have signed the Undrafted Keshad Johnson too, but let the Heat get him. Like we don't need that kind of defender or anything.. 🤦

I think we will have a worse record this year than last. Who adds a "Superstar" and falls towards the very bottom in the East. Lol if Pascal was any good, maybe we could get excited. We lost more valuable pieces than what we gained. To think we could have kept Brown, or traded him in the off-season for another solid player. Signed OG, because he would have left New York for a bigger role. In his hometown team he played for in College. Had we signed Whitmore, or Hendricks like I suggested. Instead of Walker, we'd also been better off. We could have retained Jalen Smith on a really good contract. Signed Isaiah Heartinstein, traded Nembhard or McConnell, or neither and instead a drafted player for Caruso and a Bulls 1st. Could have tried to trade our two highest picks. Down to 15 to select Kel'el Ware, or 17 for Dalton Knecht. Stayed where we were and took AJ Johnson who I said we have to get that guy. Could have taken our time to develop him. Or instead Jaylon Tyson who was my pick at 20 the entire draft had we kept our picks. Then I wanted Terrance Shannon Jr.. 3rd pick I didn't think Bobi Klintman would still be there. I liked him, but starting liking Jaylen Wells even more. Those were my big board picks. I liked Baylor Scheierman too.. Jamal Shead and Keshad Johnson. I couldn't believe he went Undrafted. Heat picked him up tho and they selected my favorite overall pick.. and won the summer league. The year Mathurin was drafted. I thought Keegan Murray could go anywhere. I knew Paulo and Chet were the solidified 1 and 2.. But still, everyone that follows basketball closely could tell what he was going to be.. I liked our idea of selecting Mathurin.. but if Keegan Murray was somehow still available. I really wanted Keegan Murray. Because of how badly we've needed a SF/PF.. Figured we'd addressed that 🕳 by now.. but nope.. Happy to have Ben though. I hope they use Ben Mathurin right and that he explodes this season. If they're so worried about his fit. It's looking like they should have taken Shaedon Sharpe instead.. Since Pacers act like no one else can touch, or handle the ball except Haliburton and the beloved almighty Andrew Nembhard for some reason.. Nembhard couldn't hit the broad side of a barn all year last year. Up until towards the very end and a couple good games in the playoffs. Other than that he wasn't any good at all.. The defense they act like is better than Mathurin, isn't even true. They have almost the exact same defensive rating. While Mathurin is almost a whole year behind in playing behind Nembhard. Because he missed the entire 2nd half of his second season.. while Nembhard played both seasons and for Canada. I still believe Mathurin will come out and eventually show everyone he's the much better player.

@scottwickett1273 i cant see them having a worse record and theres multiple reasons why. First, with potentially one of the best bench units and a combination of young players like Nehmbard, Mathurin, esmith and Haliburton ALL poised to improve somewhat, I just can't see them getting worse. Also most of the other teams didn't really get much better. Knicks and 76ers might be much better but both teams seem injury prone. Boston gonna be #1 again but Porzingas is said to miss the start of the year. Cavs kinda stayed the same and Magic actually might be the team that improves the most. I think Bucks are poised to fly off the rails if the season doesn't go perfect. Pacers have depth, young players growing into potential, strong continuity, and the best playmaking PG in the league, Haliburton. Personally I see the Pacers ending with a record of 50-32

If Tyrese can get back to himself before the injury. Start focusing on his defense and do whatever workouts Steph Curry has done lol. He will be a force to be reckoned with. If he starts to get close to 24/12/5. That's perfect, maybe knowing when he needs to be more aggressive too. Give us a 30/8 game every now and then. Pacers need to get a solid Defensive Coordinator in there and really make these guy's hit the gym. If these guards can start coming along faster. The better the Pacers will become. Maybe Nesmith can Coach them a bit on D. He must have a solid workout regime too. He transformed himself before getting here. Defense is a lot about desire though. Young guy's need to develop. But hopefully we will see them transform sooner than later. We can't continue to be this bad defensively. This team needs another couple guy's to be solid defenders. Really sucks they couldn't have gotten an elite SF, defensive guard and big. Could have, if they'd made the right moves.. but yeah.. lol frustrating.

I had full or half season tickets for decades. Vern was a fan favorite and a solid starter but he was never a top point guard. Even if you call him a shooting guard, he wasn't a top that either. As for Tinsley, if you talk to the beat writers who were around then, many would tell you that Isiah Thomas ruined him by naming him a starter in training camp and not making him earn his place as a rookie. His welcome ended not with the brawl but with the shooting incident that started at Club Rio.
