I must be in the minority but I think I prefer the original pedal. I liked the subtleties in the first version; dont need enhanced modulation or added decay length. But, for those who want a hot-rodded version of the pedal, they have a newer option. If i see the original version on the used market, ill pick one up.

If used with LR Baggs Align Series pedals, should I put the Session DI before or after the other pedals?

One question please about lr baggs para acoustic di . I heard that the one that says made in usa which is older has a better EQ response than the one that says california, if anyone has both and has compared them, have you noticed any difference between the two in terms of sound quality? and equalizer .it would be very important reply from you thank you very much.

Well heck yeah I finally understand how to use it lol. I have had this pedal a while and use it for certain things but wanted it more in the shimmer use and now I just fully understand how to use the dang thing. thank you.

Going direct really doesn't help me. Might as well use a lesser priced amp modeler.

They do a good job ,along with Strymon and Source Audio, closing the gap between analog and digital. The musicality and richness is sometimes not entirely the same, but notable all on it's own; the Flint is a perfect example of this.Though I'd say that the True Spring gets closer to Spring reverb, the Strymon is unquestionably convincing, even when driven. The Starla would likely be the choice if I wanted more than the standard analogue options found on the SurfyTrem; maybe down the line once those possibilities have been exausted?

The TS sounds awesome compared to the other pedal that sounds shrill to me, Josh Scott says there's is Not difference between chips but the New Production JRC4558D is the difference, I bet that TS has that chip, so sweet. JHS Is Not handmade pedals. Scott is a bussinessman, he sends his circuits to be done by robots.

This pedal works better with an amp that is already on it’s breaking point. They are too “hairy”, as Steve Vai once said. But once you play then through a cooking amp, the magic happens. I’ve done that with several 100 watt Marshalls and plexi’s too. It just works better when you are blasting them.

Meh, it sounded fine before the swap, just slightly different after it thru the audio of You Tube. I'd have to hear it live and make the call for that. I mean it's like the solid steel trem block I upgraded for a Squier Affinity. They make a Brass block for that upgrade from the skinny alloy block it comes with. Nice to have options, but I'm not swapping parts for the sake of swapping parts. Sometimes too bright never gets back to the muddier tone a song is better for. And that works the same for a muddier never going to be brighter, the song just sounds right & better expressed as one or the other for relative brightness & articulation.

I appreciate the compare-o, their OD line is seemingly never-ending and there's just so many ways to color a boost/clipper. Though why oh why does every other demo on YT have to be with a f*cking telecaster.... ever-spiky, thin and grainy smh

I have owned 2 swart amps and could only ever get sad sounding songs out of them. They would be much more versatile if you could dial out the mids and boost the bass.

Bluesky sounds a little more clinical, Flint seems to round off the edges a bit, it's warmer, darker sounding. I think the Flint is the better all round pedal in that there isn't much to choose between the two for reverb, but you have the bonus of chorus too. If they were the same price and I could take only one I'd have the Flint.

Hmm… That description sounds like they’re giving you a “snow job”. When they say that it doesn’t push an amp into drive “like overdrive pedals do” … that’s not what overdrive pedals do unless you turn their output level high enough that it’s boosting the signal to the amp. An overdrive pedal that’s set to unity gain or lower doesn’t push your amp at all, it just drives its own internal preamp circuitry.

I have 2 jhs emperors. I like em. But my first loves are (3) Arion chorus, and (4) flanger pedals! Isn't the sch-zd a factory modified version? For $100.00 or less, hell yes!

I could do this with the Blues driver pedal. Got a used Alchemy modded BD-1 and love it. But let the internet tell it and the Keeley is the best. Got 1 cheap yrs ago ($124). Cool. A Waza crap for $93. A stock 1 $47. So did my own test and ended up real happy with the Alchemy model. Never sold any of them so still can do this test.
