Yep, have done lots of hand laundry. I don't mind at all. Unfortunately, my HOA does not allow outside clotheslines. I can put items on clothes hangers and hang them on the shower rod. And I put a tarp or plastic tablecloth on my deck railing and hang my sheets. And hope no one is looking! There's always a way.

hi, 6 years later. i looked up how to grease and flour a pan and you were the first video that popped up. i’m 24 and it’s my first time making banana bread. thank you so much for this video! you’re so sweet, this video feels so cozy like you’re my auntie. much love from chicago!- also, i edited this comment to say i was raised in dallas, texas and you remind me so much of all my high school teachers hahaa it’s the best compliment ever! i love southern hospitality and the no waste attitude!!

I’ve been making my own foaming soap using cheap dish soap but using the scraps of soap that are hard to use in the shower is absolutely brilliant! Sometimes you just need someone else to point out the obvious 🤣

Looks good. You could change up the gravy by using cream of mushroom soup with sliced mushrooms too with maybe beef broth instead of water, you could sub in broccoli florets instead of potatoes, or just look in your cabinets and go "eeny, meeny, miney, mo". 😊

This is how to correctly raise a girl with a feminine beautiful heart. To happily work with hands lifting everyday weights like the milk jar, to happily learn and be a knowledgeable food maker in the household, to be married quickly and then be a sweetheart submissive wife serving her loving husband and to be a loving mother to kids.

I am going to try this today! I have tried rice several times in my instant pot, but it has come out burnt or sticky. I did rinse, but maybe not enough? I like the towel trick over the seal button too. Great idea!

Hi Kathy, this method has NEVER failed us. Hope it works for you. Remember that you have to cook it as soon as it’s rinsed. 👍🏽❤️

👍 Great video. It’s surprising how intimidating cast iron is for newbies I remember my Mother in law teaching me 45 years ago it’s all I use as well. Love you sweet friend.
@teresaphillips8488Ай бұрын
I was taught to use soap only if absolutely necessary (by mother and both grandmothers). I've seen my mama heat the cast iron back up to clean it (just as you described) many, many times, and she always dries it thoroughly and rubs on a thin layer of oil or shortening before putting it away. Since that's what I know to do, that's pretty much what I do, too. What you said about the lye makes a lot of sense for how "no soap" came to be. This was fun to watch; thanks! 🙂
