So the most important thing is getting the correct size awning. Then they show a vertical measuring pole that has absolutely no meaning. No explanation offered on how to determine the correct size. Awning tensioners can make overtensioning of the poles far too easy and cause failures in the awning seams, particularly with the roof poles. Overtensioning can be worse than undertensioning. Putting down a groundsheet that extends outside the awning is going to cause water flooding problems in the awning. Anything that extends beyond the awning MUST allow water to pass through. This video is so full of bad advice that Isabella should take it down.

Why swift persist on putting that shelf thingy under the microwave I'll never know...i suppose swift management would say it's" ICONIC " but it's not , it's " MORONIC " .. having the power outlets so high above the bench top means having to place kettles and toasters on boxes to reach.. it's not only inconvenient but also dangerous to have power cords hanging down like that , swift should place the outlets on the wall like they do with all their other caravans and motorhomes...on a more positive note the new EB is a brilliant caravan and should sell well...SAM ALPER would be pleased im sure!!!.❤️🙏🇬🇧

Elddis has a misleading warranty/terrible furnishing colours/and ABS front&back panels that can't be repaired if they crack (these ABS panels are warrantied for 1yr only & replacements cost £4500 each). So all -in -all a missed opportunity to make something worth buying!

Hi guys, i have a 2011 Autotrail Chieftain tag axle mororhome. There's lower side skirts to both sides & rear bumper. When new the colour of all this was a kinda grey colour, but over time one whole side & slightly into the rear quarter of the rear bumper has gone a strange blueygrey colour. I'm wondering if the sun has caused this while it being parked up the same way when not being used this. I'm wodering if you know how to revitalise it all, to get it back to it's original grey colour? Any help would be much appreciated.

Trim and extra kit does not take away from the fact that Elddis still use ABS plastic end panels that can stress crack costing £4K to re-place. Avoid if i were you. 😒

Thanks for this useful and practical vid. Placing items low down is a real aid to 'tug free' towing. Without getting to techy, the balance point of the caravan is close to the position of the axle(s). If you place heavy items far away from the axle, those items have a lot of ability to cause movement, by virtue of their weight AND distance from the axle. The other thing of course is that lots of small light items collectively weigh a lot, so I tend to collect small items, place into cardboard boxes and position near the axle for travelling. If you organise well, it takes no time at all to redistribute stuff once on site. :)

Thank you for this. I did a towing course before towing our caravan and this was explained, but there are nuances you've covered, which is useful. I once broke my breakaway cable, it's because I forgot to remove it after putting on the caravan brake, detaching from the towball and driving off. What a numpty - I only did it once - it proved that the breakaway cable does actually break :) :). The other thing I found out recently is to be cautious when moving a caravan using motor movers, especially on sloping ground, as a dealer recently told me they had seen the movers pop off, allowing the caravan to move freely. So I now stand close to the handbrake when using my motor movers. I have checked mine and I suspect they only 'pop off' if they haven't been installed correctly. Mine were installed by a dealer, but they weren't at the requisite distance from the tyre, making it very hard to engage and disengage.

Be better to drain from a low point on the drain line.

It amazes me as caravanners we put up with this kind of mediocrity for decades! We need to vote with our wallets ! Stop buying these locks and if insurance companies insist on fitting 2 change company. Thats the only way they will change the design to something more usable. The best security is something that can be used easily because then it will be used.

Hi, this might be an odd question, however our caravan is not on a serviced storage site, but it is around the corner from where we live. I was thinking about doing this clear out using the battery in the caravan. My question is do you think it would use a lot of battery power at all, just for when we actually do use the caravan again, the battery is not totally flat? Thanks
