Funny watching how other camps are from how it goes for me. I work all day Friday, by the time I get home from work and to my camp, it’s usually about 10pm. Start a fire, unpack my shit, and get to bed around midnight. Up at 4am tired as hell to go sit in the woods freezing my ass off all day in a tree while the wind is whipping by. Dark I’m back in my camp, to stoke the fire, eat something warm, and get to bed to catch up on some sleep. Then it’s the same routine Sunday, M, T, and Wednesday. Never leave the woods and can’t wait to get back to get warm, eat, and get to bed.

@@ss0073 I agree. Everyone’s experiences at camp are different. It’s fun to learn what others do. Deer hunting at our camp is fun and it’s the reason it brings all of us together. But shooting a deer isn’t the priority, it’s a bonus. Spending time with family and friends is first and foremost .

Tree stands, HA HA, I hunt in PA as well as you and have seen MANY tree stands left in the woods after the seasons on the ANF and State Game lands. It is amazing how many hunters do not follow the rules. Now that my rant is over, I wanted to say I really enjoy your content and recently subscribed to your channel. My hunting style (private and public land hunting in PA and out of state to WV) is similar to yours so please keep the videos coming and good luck this fall! @@hfbpa8896 I am on the way back from Ohio right now. Just put out a few cell cameras for a Fall hunting trip. This is my third year scouting and hunting public land in NY. The first year I was clueless. Just tried to be a sponge and watch KZfaq and read as much as possible. Just finding deer was difficult, not to mention finding a tree stand up in March almost every spot I escouted. I scored a super nice buck my second year but got really lucky on my shot and learned what not to do again. I would have hated to wound a mature buck. I continue learn something new every time I am in the woods. My third year I relied way too much on scrapes and felt like I went backwards. This year I am taking all I learned and focusing on overlooked areas, community scrapes near thick areas and destination food sources. This fall will tell me if I am on the right track. Start with escouting public property less than an hour drive from your house. I put about 200-300 miles on my boots scouting each year. Mostly late winter and early spring after the snow melts when fall sign is easier to find. Then put out trail cameras and let them tell you where to hunt. It’s a lot of work, but I am an empty nester. I love to hike and try to interpret deer sign and spend at least one day a week all year long in the woods walking 6-8 miles. I am here to help you out however I can. Curt

@@NorthMissouriOutdoors we are usually able to follow a few each year on the farm I hunt. Public land in NYS is an entirely different story because of Heavy pressure. I dig deep to understand the habitat Feb.-April, get cameras out for the summer and hope I did enough work to find some daylight pictures of a mature buck on Public land.
