I think alot of people knew where you were going in the "Preston Area" b4 you mentioned Warton..lol. I spent a couple of years shuttling between there and Brough.....and "Anglesey"...and "North Yorkshire"....and "Blackburn area" plus others.. .... As you go out on the A17 I used always stop at the that big farm shop/truck/coach stop...the one opposite the other farm shop with the Military plane outside....on the way back it was good for a cuppa and a snooze out the back. Hi Dave, thanks for these wonderful pieces of information regarding courier Jobs/business. Iam based in coventry as i have just relocated to the UK and been here for just 3 months. My background business is Transportation from my country. I have learnt alot from you, made some decisions already regarding courier work because of your frankness, openeness and reality, which gives a beginner some answers to very fundamental business questions. I really want to begin but am impeded because of Driving License requirements and a couple of other things. However, one thing that you have not cracked for me is the access to backload pick-ups. CX has had alot of negative comments and wouldnt wish to use them anyway and besides their fees, to me are quite unreasonable. I am therefore wondering what options and or which other platforms are there to substitute CX, otherwise thanks for being a good realistic influencer.

Hi Dave, Me again. I am not on 'The Courier Exchange'. I was on it about 5 years ago but I found the job prices low. I did consider joining again a few months ago but I have been put off by all the negative comments. I have decided to invest in more advertising and a Website rebrand and try to get my own customers again. It has not been easy having to downsize from my 3.5 ton to a Ford Transit Connect L2 due to loss of sight in my left eye. I am now having to try to get work for a smaller van as my previous customers only have work for a LWB.
