I'd like to correct something. 11:26 You can raise your scroll speed in Taiko, but you can't lower it.

1:19 and also people in music centered games (like project diva, sekai) call the chart song sometimes 😔

What a great video. It's tough to put terms from so many varied rhythm games. In project diva theres a few terms i can think of. 270s and 360s. Meaning a pattern that goes around the controller with 3 notes or 4 notes in succession. More commonly used on the ds4 or hori controller. Similar to staircases. Spam, another word for jacks/trills. Multis, another word for chords. Hold switches, which is releasing and changing hold notes out of order in order to achieve a higher score And score attack, which is purposely missing or hitting the wrong buttons in order to maintain holds for the longest amount of time possible to achieve the highest score in rankings possible.

7:07 ok tbh you could’ve explained 4 notes double them or shorten them by half and you get respective in time notes. You didn’t need to show how time and poly rhythms to explain the naming convention. I know people in bands that don’t know that stuff about rhythm I’ve had to teach people as a drummer but it’s too confusing for a first time thought about rhythm.

Here are a couple things to note. In general gaming terms, mods refer to external mods, which range from quality of life changes, to overhauls of the base game, to even adding Tomas the Tank Engine. So the Rythm Game term of "mods" would be closer to advanced settings in other games. Difficulty spikes are usualy short parts, hence the spike part of the name, slim and pointy. A reverse difficulty spike (reverse spike for short) is the inverse, randomly getting easier before getting harder again. These both are made up of a difficulty jump (game gets harder suddenly) and difficulty drop (game gets easier suddenly) there is also difficulty curve, usualy used to talk about how difficulty increases throughout a game (in most games with difficulty curves, you tend to get more powerful, so it feels more linear) but in rythm games, it would refer to how much harder the high difficulty charts are compared to the low difficulty charts, so a curve where the x-axis is in order of difficulty, and the y-axis is actual difficulty. You know. being honest, I think this idea of bringing difficulty curves into rythm games makes sense, and it would be the truest version of the curve, as the only thing that improves is your skill. And cheesing power. Speaking of which. Cheese is the general game term for making something easier then it is supposed to be, usualy be doing it in an unintended way. And a term I made up is "lactoseintolerent part" this means a part that is extra weak to cheese, just like lactoseintolerent people. This mostly applies to bosses in games with combat, but im sure there are some easily cheesable parts in some ryhtm games.

Maybe I will add the "judgement line": line displayed across the screen where you have to hit/click/press/(kick?) the note (in the right timing it can score different [and start talking about jugdement window {11:56}])

I happen to be the kinda guy who refuses to choke out of paranoia, so I mess up at the start on purpose then realize I fucked up when I finish a song and haven’t missed except for that one part I did on purpose but that’s just a me thing maybe …. Or is it
