This song was sung at a Celebration of Life I attended today for a wonderful Christian woman who passed from cancer. Had not heard this song in years, but always appreciate hearing it again.

Love The Rankin Family, this was the first of their songs I'd ever heard. if it wasn't for CMT Europe I don't think I'd have known they ever existed.

Of ALL the celebrities in any media, Peter Falk is probably the one I would love to have known personally! Anytime I view a clip of him in an interview or as a guest on a talk show, he comes across as a genuinely good guy - the kind of guy rarely seen these days in the entertainment industry!

He loved playing Columbo. From all accounts, that character was the most like him in real life.

I was so sad when they retired. I was in my 30’s when I first saw them on tv and I’m 87 now. It’s good to hear the group again.

I think this song would have at least been as big as "You Really Had Me Going" and that was a Number 1 record. Man, I loved this song. I expected it to be her first or second single off of the "Getting It Dunn" album.

On a Judy kick and this is amazing. I actually have one of her accordions. She had performed at a drag restaurant i worked at, and left it as a gift. It used to be on a shelf over the bar. When the restaurant closed for good, i said all i want is Judy's accordion and was able to take it. Prized posession!

This kind of radio anticipated Twitter by years! It was great to be able to hear people talk like this about difficult subjects without killing each other. What kind of radio is like this now?

Thanks for this upload. I used to have this episode and two others on tape from when she was on Austin City Limits. Incidentally this song did make it to Number 1 on either Radio and Records of the Gavin report. Possibly both. Just missed out on Billboard. I still love her very much. I loved Lari White even more. Both were treated very badly by the industry which broke my heart. They were just two unbelievable talents and should have been much bigger Stars than they were.

This terrific song which again Holly Co-wrote was awesome. She had been performing it for some time live and it would have been the perfect first single from the still upcoming "Getting It Dunn" CD which she spent two years producing. Ralph Emory loved it when she sang it on Nashville Now too. I fully expected it to be the second single after the ill -fated non video "No Love Have I" cover record got very few Radio adds. I was certain this song would, ultimately it never saw a release whatsoever. If they had put out a video and this been the first single that CD was spectacular, and it could have propelled her to Mega Star status. As it was Warner's barely marketed it, only produced one video, and basically let everything fall through the cracks. Really ticked me off. Fans have no idea what they missed out on.

The official video is not on KZfaq. I wonder why. All her other ones are. Maybe because she's walking around in mens underwear and some snowflake complained?

Great to see Nanci & Eric performing this song together. They seemed like a great couple and their music compatibility so strong. Sad that their marriage didn't last. Probably other issues in the marriage caused the reasons for divorce. Both such immensely talented singer songwriters. May both rest in peace for all time.

It's a never-ending stain on the Country music industry that Holly Dunn was never a superstar.
@jeffreyk5734Ай бұрын
I agree. She was basically Blacklisted by Country Radio after the ridiculous flap over the song "Maybe I Mean Yes" in 1991. I will never, ever understand why? That whole thing was nonsense and should have never happened. Her career basically never recovered, in spite of her next Album "Getting It Dunn" being I still believe her best work to date, it was totally snubbed by Country Radio. That should have had and could have had Multi-Platinum sales. One of the best CD's I've ever heard. After the album that she spent 2 years producing was ignored by Country Radio she soon lost her Recording Contract with Warner Brothers. What a bunch of jerks. I'm still angry about this crap to this day!
