Nice video, I bought Ambrosia Nightrider cgm to monitor glucose which works great with the Libre sensor, their alarm feature is very helpful during night, it also gives alarm alerts when readings are not in range.

My mate in school had one of these, but he had more than one rocket. Once we aimed it at his sister at the top of the garden and were firing them down there, miracle we never hit a window.

Nice video, I use Ambrosia Blucon device and Freestyle Libre sensor for my diabetes.The LinkBluCon app gives me updates ervery time when my glucose values go out of range. Also, it shows how food, insulin, exercise impacts on my blood glucose values. Both products are Life changing.

Hey, I really like the app at least I don't need to carry reader. This is really helpful but still we have to scan the sensor with the app to get the readings. I'm using Nightrider blucon with freestyle libre sensor. It gives reading on my watch and phone every 5 minutes without scanning the sensor. I liked it bcz in case if I'm driving and feeling LO/HI then I don't need to scan my phone with the sensor as Blucon gives reading on phone every 5 min automatically. Blucon helps me in alarms if my glucose goes out of range. I can get my readings on apple watch without phone. My doctor can follow my readings. Blucon helped me in controlling my diabetes a lot.
@JustLearning4 жыл бұрын
Control your carb intake and it will result in lower readings. Avoid eating potatoes and rice and pasta as well as grains. Limit carb intake to no more than 30 carbs per day. I know some doctors and nutritionist advocate 250 carbs a day but they are wrong and are the main cause diabetes is reaching high levels among the population world wide. Fasting is also a good way to lower your blood sugar. Check out "Beat Diabetes!" videos on KZfaq and learn how you can lower your blood sugar and insulin intake. All the best.

Thanks for sharing this video. It's really helpful. I've been using my libre sensor for a year and half. I really liked the freestyle libre and app as I can avoid frequent painful pricking tests. For the last 7 months I added Ambrosia's blucon nightrider on my libre sensor which converted a real time glucose monitoring device (libre sensor) to a continuous glucose monitoring device (CGM). Blucon sits on my freestyle libre, gets the data from the sensor, transfers it to my phone and watches every 5 minutes. I don't want to recall those sleepless nights when unanticipatedly my glucose level went high and low but thanks to blucon nightrider which has a peculiar feature where I can set my target glucose range which gives Alarms when my glucose level goes out of range. I can share my readings with 5 caregivers. My endo started recommending blucon to his other patients.

Hey Amelie, How is it possible? It seems would be the best device for the diabetic person but want more details on this. Please let me know their website. I'm in a diabetic group, if this would be successful and really works as you are saying then will definitely it to my group. Thanks in advance!

Hey you can use Blucon on top your libre sensor which transfers the readings on their Linkblucon app which has many features. You can even get readings on your apple watch without phone. Your doctor can get your readings on his phone or laptop. Alarms are very helpful to get immediate alerts on high or low glucose levels. I'm fully satisfied with my libre sensor combination with blucon

Brilliant video! It's changed a lot since then. I did this last year as can be seen on my KZfaq channel. 'Little Zipper' now goes slightly over the lake and there's 4 zip-wires instead of two in order to get more people on them at the same time. The launch areas are also covered now.

@Meerkatbear5 жыл бұрын
Excellent video, many thanks for taking the trouble to make it. I have been a Type 1 for 47 years and I started using FreeStyle Libre around 6 months ago. It's a huge step forward in helping to control blood glucose - my HbA1c readings at the clinic are now better than at any time in my past. I bought a new phone last week (a Moto G6 Play, now only £129 in UK) after ensuring the UK version had NFC with the aim of using the app but I was a bit hesitant about how it would affect my use of the Libre reader which has served me well over recent months. Your video encouraged me to go ahead with installing the app on my phone and I'm pleased to say it's all gone smoothly, thanks to your clear, patient pace of delivery and your good use of the graphs. I was also delighted to see that I'm not the only diabetic who occasionally sees extreme highs and lows appearing on their graphs! A further word of thanks to the NHS for making the Libre sensor available to Type 1s in the UK - it's a long way from the horrendous glass syringe and re-usable big needle (both to be boiled in water to sterilise before the next injection!) and urine testing which I had to use when first diagnosed as a child in the early 1970s.

Hi, i am glad this video helped you. I only really made the video because there was no solid information about the Libre sensors and the Libre app. All i really needed to know was if it was possible to activate the sensor using my phone. I bought a sensor just to try it, then became addicted to it. It helped me notice that my 24 hour long term insulin was only lasting at best 22 hours so i was getting a spike before my insulin was due. So on the good side i was able to get ride of that spike but the bad side was an extra insulin injection because i split the long term and inject that twice a day now.

So all I need is an android and a sensor? How often do sensors get changed? Have you tried zero carb keto? Good info
@diabeticmatty5 жыл бұрын
The sensor lasts 2 weeks, I think that is because of the glue that holds it on your arm. It's similar to plaster glue, it is waterproof I have been swimming with them on. All you need is a phone with NFC and the sensor can be activated by that. The app is easy to use and because it's so easy to test I pretty much waved my phone over my arm whenever I used my phone so I was testing up to 20 times a day. It's worth trying if you get the chance.

Do you have to scan the sensor to register a point on the graph? Or does the app capture every five minutes or something? Is there a way to export all the data points to a csv file?
@diabeticmatty5 жыл бұрын
The points on the graph are where I had scanned. The sensor does constantly take its own readings and records that data for 8 hours so if you didn't scan much then it is still shown on the graph.

Duarte Braga I am not sure if you can see results on the computer. But it is possible to share your data with people if you have the libre link up app. I think this would be great for parents wanting to keep an eye on their children, or would be great if your results could go straight to a doctor.

Thanks for your video. I've just purchased my starter kit of scanner and 2scanners..... Excited to receive it and get started. My finger tips are like steel, very painful steel at that. 6x day testing as I'm running very high. At mid 20s. Diagnosis of T1 late onset,,...... Gave my pancreas its p45 about 2years ago according to consultant and lots of gene testing...... Only got started on insulin regime 10days ago, but battled for several years with highs and lows. But finger testing is not good enough, especially when you are spending time driving for work, or rock-climbing etc..... Im hoping to get a good picture of my bg through the day. Gonna admit, I'm a wee bit worried about fitting the sensor though. TRUTH..... DOES IT HURT???? IS IT WORSE THAN THE DREADED FINGER TEST?

It's been around a year, did you get on well with the sensors and did they help improve your diabetes control? Did you get used to applying the sensor without too much pain?

Hi! Is it possible to activate a new sensor using a smartphone? I mean using sensor without using reader, phone only?
@diabeticmatty7 жыл бұрын
Bob Rovski yes it is possible to use the sensors on their own without using the reader. I don't own a reader I only use my phone with the sensors.
@Silent_Bobb7 жыл бұрын
But you must be shure, your phone is equipped with NFC module, I think.

Damn..... I wish I'd read your comment before spending £138 (original was £156,but I got vat free???? ) I was led to believe that I had to use sensor to activate, then I could use app. Oh well.... Maybe I can tell myself that I am not going daft, as my phone might run out of battery sometimes lol......but a £70 cost to ensure that I keep it charged is a bit harsh :( . Did read about reimbursement from 1st Nov tho :)

Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my partner got cool success with it.
