One of my best memories is being alone on a rooftop and seeing the brightest meteor, a true fireball, dash through the sky, making my ears sizzle for a moment. It was just me and a star who said hello with only me to welcome it to earth

Ich denke schon, dass es heute Nacht wieder was zu sehen gibt. Ich habe die Aufnahmen zwischen 22 Uhr und 2 Uhr gemacht. Dann wurde es leider zu bewölkt.

Man hat bei uns leider mit den Augen nur weiße, selten auch bisschen rote und grüne, Schlieren am Himmel gesehen. Doch mit der Kamera und der Langzeitbelichtung hat sich dann die volle Pracht entfaltet. 😊

Thank you for sharing. Will some of the trails be the dreaded satellite traffic marring our night time view? I think meteors will typically appear to radiate from one point in the sky (identified by the name of the shower)

Just an opinion. It seems the majority of comments are the power of the zoom on the Nikon and the low light capabilities of the Sony. I believe the Sony is about $500-$600 more. I would buy the Nikon for the zoom power for outdoors and use that extra cash for a great smaller indoor (lower light) camera. Myself owns a Cannon SX50 which is still small enough for bringing to household get together/parties with low indoor lighting. But if you're someone who shoots at night mostly and needs that zoom then Sony for you. Thoughts?
