I had a job for a year working in social media and now I’m entirely addicted to my phone! 😭 I’m certified in hypnotherapy so thinking about creating a channel focused on this topic. We can rewire our brains, we got this. Phones are no substitution for human interaction. ❤️‍🩹

In Texas, we would call you "El Jefe". Translation - Spanish meaning for The Boss, The Chief, The Man, or The Legend. This video is most impressive! Thank you sir.

I watched all 15:20 min of this video and found it to be all rambling chit-chat. Very little reference to slumping or how to or what materials to use to slump.

What type of kiln do you have
@PeepersStainedGlass
@PeepersStainedGlass 4 ай бұрын
We have multiple kilns here in the shop but the one we recommend and sell is the Evenheat kiln. 17x17. Students can bring larger projects in if they have something bigger they need to fuse.

my polish and tack settings only goes to 1000, yet the glass sticks together. it will burn off iridescence, tho.

Those are the preset schedules? Are you able to modify your schedules on your kiln to fine tune them?

Great video, I have a question you mentioned a fire polish, would that be the same as a tack fuse. If so which speed would you use?
@PeepersStainedGlass
@PeepersStainedGlass 4 ай бұрын
Fire polish is a different firing. Lower heat to just smooth the edges and finish. Here is another video about it. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pa6ajZBems-wYYk.htmlsi=Vtr1P5jQraOOf0Hx

Thank you. Do you lubricant your cutter when cutting fused glass?
@PeepersStainedGlass
@PeepersStainedGlass 2 жыл бұрын
Oh hello Gwen, I didn't see you there! OF COURSE you will lubricate your cutter! ;) Always, always, always lubricate your cutter. Of course, if you're cutting fused glass - and it's got that extra thickness to it of 6 mm, 1/4 inch, instead of the 1/8 inch, 3.2 mm stained glass - it's going be to be thing where it doesn't cut as cleanly. Cutting fused glass will be similar to cutting plate glass. There are special cutting heads and breakers that can help you get those cleaner cuts. I don't carry them in my store because the cutting heads are about $100+. I can special order them, but if you're going to be doing a lot of cutting fused glass it would be the thing where getting a ring saw or a water jet cutter might be a good idea. Depending on what type of designs you're interested in doing.

@@PeepersStainedGlass Thank you much. I was taught to use oil only when cutting stained glass and to never use oil on fused glass, even 3.2 mm. I’m certainly going to start using oil on my fused glass as it doesn’t seem to work well without oil.
