That was my local river being brought up in Fishponds I had many a good days fishing on that river as a teenager over 30 years ago with my late dad Peter Clark . Thats😮 where I mastered the stick float on the stretch above the weir thanks to my uncle Maurice Garty .

Here’s the best comment you can get. Cutting my teeth on this lake back in the late 90s. I would say don’t bother with your carp rods and go with a float. Fished at about 12” with a pellet 8mm. Spray 6 pellets and draw your float onto the spray. Finally someone clocked me of what I was doing and every time i arrived he would say here he comes watch out everyone the carp slayer is here. I would out fish everyone on the lake in the matter of a few hrs. Still today if I fancy a trip down there with the same method I smash it. Remember carp spend most of their time in the upper layers. Hope this helps and hope you all give it a go on this water. 😊. Best times are afternoons

Used to fish there years ago when i lived in the UK. used to have to watch out for Blaze the horse trying to eat your bait. Had some great days on that water.

Make sure you dry your nets if you catch anything from there they've had a few fish kills in that lake

Love this lake, get in the margins about 2ft from the bank, fished it with 2 mates about a month ago and had 94 carp between us 👌🏻
