That’s a lot of rain. I think 2010 or so we got 10 inches of rain over night while others around us got 20 inches overnight. Usually at most we get a couple inches of rain at once at most. Do you sell goats? How well do they eat box elder trees? We have a bunch of those along with brush. We have 5 acres of brush and trees, but we do have sheep and cattle too. We have around 25 acres or so. I just a a few to clean up it up.
@IntegrityRanch4 күн бұрын
Yes, we sell breeding stock goats and sheep. The goats Greg Judy had came from us. Goats love brush you just need good fence or keep them moving.
@marvinbaier36274 күн бұрын
@@IntegrityRanch we had goats before that stayed in single poly braid but they were mean to our sheep and cattle. They like to play rough towards them so we got rid of them. They would use their horns on them. They were super nice to people though. We don’t keep anything mean towards animals or humans. It’s just not worth the extra hassle to keep them separate.

Hey Shaun, we’ve been using your design with a couple modifications: 1. I use a scrap of metal roofing set on 2 2x4s across the panel with a block on top as a roof. I found it keeps the feeder from being so hot in the summer 2. We drilled holes in the runners and attached a chain for easy moves 3. We cut a triangle instead of a circle Thanks for sharing the design!

In the desert, you should only need one battery, with a 100-watt solar panel.
@cpt.moroni309225 күн бұрын
So far I’ve used a 100AH battery and 175W panel 20amp charge controller, just because it was surplus.

When grass out runs you in spring and goes to seed out do yall ever mow tops off sees heads?
@IntegrityRanchАй бұрын
It is better to keep the grass vegative by mowing, but it also cost money so we rarely mow.

@IntegrityRanch I understand that if you have a lot of acreage I could see where it would get costly.... I'm in north Carolina also wanted to ask do you know of good south poll bull contact down my way. I'm wanting to experiment with using a south poll bull on my angus

I own the same piece of property with my brother. Been trying to get that through to him as well that eventually there will be more deer as a result of my farming practices.
@user-kv2pt4lu9yАй бұрын
Deer like similar forages as goats like. Might be a point to use with hunter landowners. You both want the same lush forages!
@vonmajorАй бұрын
I like your take on how you keep everything in its vegetative state. At first glance one would think that the browsers, sheep and goats, would take away from what the other browsers, deer would otherwise eat. Keeping it vegetive longer May have more forage available come hunting season.
