Everytime I see a California Raisins toy product, I'm reminded about the quality of McDonald's toys from the 90's. I think McDonald's did push out Raisins toys in their Happy Meals.

I saw a lot of great figures. Thanks

They were a bit before my time, but they were always something I knew of and had seen around. Pop culture - before the internet age allowed for extreme compartmentalization of interests - had a way of trickling down and permeating to generations that weren't just the generations of the era. That's why it's always bugged me when older people would say "You know about blank! You're too young to know about blank!" As if the interests of their time are just frozen forever in that time...like younger people aren't exposed to different eras of music, film, TV, books, comics, etc through their parents and grandparents and just general cultural osmosis. I always loved stop motion animation and "claymation" as a kid so I was always really charmed by the California Raisins. And I don't have a massive collection or anything, but if I see one of the little PVC figures floating around a thrift store of vintage store I pick 'em up because they're just such a window into American culture. And the "band" itself is a really good cover band of classic tunes. I'll legit listen to their albums utterly unironically for good renditions of great songs.

Although I had to watch it in 3 sections, it was another great toy video sir. Pesky family kept interfering with my toy time. 😂 Some great KOs and carded toys at that show. Those Super Powers were like new man and that Nicholson card was sick. Great grab. Thanks Matt.

That Knock Out Joker is currently around $250! You got a steal of a deal there! Congrats! I've seen the cardback alone without the figure sell for around 50-60 bucks. Great work w the video, love your channel!

Wow, what a video. Hey, it's good to see you getting more Super Powers figures. That's one of my favorite figure lines too. I didn't even know about Supernaturals Lionwings until this video. What a cool figure. I think you did great at this expo. You found such a variety of things. I wish I could have been there with you.

its so strange that in the biggest toy show you wont see vintage TYCO, Nikko or Radio Shack Toy RC Cars, and they where such a huge deal back then, I think Chad is the only ''Toy Collector'' that has some, that iv seen,
@KirksCORNER-198319 күн бұрын
Dont you get in early and you get most of the good deals before they open to the public though?.
@tydiriumhanger132019 күн бұрын
Great video yet again! So many deals there but that Lionwing from supernaturals is a great piece! Would be cool to know what all you sold off at that last show and see your insights from the others side of collecting.

Matt, as always, it was great traveling with you to and through the show and seeing you and your friends picking up things for your collections. I don' think the average show-attendee realizes the time and effort it takes to set up for a show, and the work it involves in displaying large and small items showcasing their value, attractiveness, and rarity. And as I have said before, if you know of any friends or dealers who would like to purchase a rather large collection of Garbage Pail Kids cards, toys, and items, please let me know. Thanks. Rock on brother.

Happy to hear the Savage/Wonder Bread He Man story. Thanks for being so thorough in these videos, we don’t have shows like this in my area. You can tell that you, Chad, Sasho, Kelly and Greg are fantastic people. Great pickup with that Super Naturals Lion. Absolutely beautiful.

I absolutely do. I also think as our collecting journey continues, the list of “wants” decreases and becomes much more specific. And then there are the things you didn’t know you needed until you see them!

I just found this video as well as your KZfaq page. New Subscriber, Btw. Yeah, I can sympathize with you. I grew up in Steubenville, Ohio and now reside in Erie, Pa. When I go back home to visit my remaining family, I get sad to see how a lot of places, from better times, are now gone. Our old mall is practically dead and the Hills Department Store...😥 It's been gone forever. I feel the "technology" in the 21st century helped push this change even further.

Lots of stuff that came out when I was @ Slippery Rock so Im interested in mostly 60s and 70s stuff, but largely Silver /Bronze comics I'd love to locate the Hot Wheels Batmobiles... they never show....!!Thanks for the show on John & Giant Man... also VERY Cool!!
