There is an easier option to disconnect the front wheels. Disassemble the central differential (Torsen II), and cut the planet gears into half of the length. Welding the rear shaft torque output gear with the planet gears and the casing of the Torsen II central differential. Put them back. Job done!

Hi. My W8 just ate 1.5L of water. But I cant see where its gone..... maybe its global warming. Hey anyways, what kind of money do you think you have spent on your engine so far? Although I am unsure mine got as hot as yours, you said it melted the elec plugs?!?! But I am most likely definately looking at a head gasket at least. So am curious if you have time to reply? Boyd

I want to swap 4motion (1.9tdi 96kw) with trans to golf mk3 with 1.8t so i know i need syncro rear axles hubs and arms but what do i need to do with floor pan to fit mk4 4motion system and if u are asking why diesel transsmison it is cuz longer gears 😉
