Fleischer based Betty Boop mostly on Helen Kane but Mae Questal was the voice on most of the cartoons, she also did Popeye and Olive Oyl.

REQUEST: Underrated Lisa has beef with another Commentor "CooManTunes" LISA- Elvis Presley, this mfka did not invent Rock N Roll, the only reason why he was able to reach the level and success and fame that he did was because he profited from the cultural appropiation of black music. Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Fats Domino are real true kings of rock n roll and if you ask me big mama thorthon did hound dog wayyyyy better than Elvis Presley, he stole they're whole style, sound, COOMANTUNES- Hello, racist. There are many, MANY black artists that have defended Elvis from half-brains like you.

This footage would have to be staged for either training or propaganda. How would a camera be at this vantage point in a real battle?

@@tweezerjam Consider the differences in film equipment of that era and the vantage point. Now you do see some sort of fortification in the foreground in one of the shots. But you have to wonder how a cameraman would be in these exposed positions during a real battle. Most all combat footage prior to small cameras like a GoPro is taken from a position of relative safety. It’s exceedingly rare to see footage of attacking troops taken from their front. There are certainly some famous examples such as D-Day. I don’t know the truth but I’m always curious seeing footage like this from WWI.

I see it because, people now of days who sing mostly want to make more money, back than, people had a soul when they sung, they mostly sung because they liked to sing.

I love bronze venus so much. Each time she makes her funny faces it just makes my day. Earlier seeing this brought tears to my eyes, knowing josephine is no longer with us. The world sure lost a lovely woman in 1975. ❤️ For years upon years i thought i was doomed to always being a dancer, because i never tried working at it. But after seeing her dance some months back now, ive tried to learn the charleston. I practice every day and i hope one day ill be as good as well as heart warming as her. We love you, jo!

What people today don't understand is that back in 1925 and even before and after that black entertaininers had to put on faces . It's what they had to do in order to make it. Watch some of the Steppin Fetchit movies and a lot of them back then As long as they were looking and acting silly and making people laugh they were more accepted. In the movies they were made to act dumb and silly. America was not ready for a serious black entertainer. Sad but that's how it was and that's why she left America.
