Not rallying but driving across Canada, we carried a small gas can (full), jug of pre-mix coolant, assorted WD40 spray cans. The only thing we didn't use was the petrol. We did get caught in a massive downpour so bad I was pouring water out of the spark plug lead boots. The WD40 was a god send and yes I bought new leads when we arrived home.

About 10 years ago we went to France in our Rover 100 convertible, we broke down near Lyon I think and the AA were brilliant, we went to a hotel and we collected a hire car the next day and get this the wife the day after crashed that into another car on the motorway so we got another hire car and a couple of weeks later late at night in Dover collected a UK RHD car for the journey back home. About 10 days later I answered the phone and it was a car transport company saying they were in the street, I remember saying why is that? and the driver says we've got your Rover! So I've always been with the AA and always has Europe cover. Not sure if there's certain levels or after Brexit something has changed?

It's hard to see the units on the micrometer, is that about 0.18mm total run-out? If so it's definitely on the high side, typically you want no more than 0.05mm (2 thou). This may also be getting worse with hot brakes. Before condemning the disc check for any dirt/corrosion or surface damage between the back of the hub and the disc mounting surface, and also check the back of the hub for run-out.
