Help! I have this camera. How did you get the bottom screws in? The mount has 4 screw holes. The top two are accessible. The lower two are blocked by the wide camera housing. I can't use them. How did you do it? It doesn't appear the camera is removable from the mount.

I have been attempting to set up the Xiao-E wireless otoscope for two years now, both locally and internationally, but have not successfully completed the process. Despite following instructions to access iPhone settings, I have not found sufficient guidance on the necessary steps for proper setup. Is this yet another misrepresented product from China that fails to deliver as advertised? Online resources only advise accessing mobile phone settings for connection, lacking the specific instructions needed to ensure this product operates correctly. IS THERE ANYBODY ON THIS PLANET WHO KNOWS OF THIS PRODUCT?
@nothingbutgadgets
@nothingbutgadgets 12 күн бұрын
I am very sorry that you are having so much trouble. I am not an iPhone person and do not work with Apple products, but do have friends and family that do have iPhone and are always having trouble connecting them to non-Apple products. In my limited experience, iPhones do not play well with products not made by Apple. I think it is part of how Apple keeps their devices more secure. The other possibility is is that your otoscope is simply defective. Have you tried connecting it to an Android device? Is it having the same problem? That would indicate that the device is not functioning properly and that you need to get a replacement. Unfortunately, in this world of mass produced tech devices, there will some product that will be defective straight from the factory, especially when you are dealing with these cheap consumer level products. It is always a good practice to test things out immediately after you get them and return or exchange them within the Free Return grace period.

Hey, thanks, this is the most useful video I've seen on this microphone ! We can feel you're excited to get this microphone haha. I understand that, I'm a "makes tons of research before buying" guy too ! Also, you seem very authentic, I value that :) I plan on shooting outdoors too, but "life scenes" from the city or towns. Because of that, I did research about mics like you and dwelved into the world of wildlife video gear, it's amazing haha ! Did you know about parabolic mics ? What parameters do you use for these shots, did you edit those in post prod or is it raw sound from the mic ? What was the gain ?
@nothingbutgadgets
@nothingbutgadgets 16 күн бұрын
Hi. Thank you for the great comment. I try to keep my videos pure and authentic and it is nice to hear that someone values this. I have never written a script for a video, so everything I say is straight from the heart. I wish more people valued authenticity as much as you. The pressures on KZfaq to move towards professional production are very intense these days. As far as the audio goes. What you are hearing is straight out of the mic. No audio editing or enhancement of any kind was performed. The only thing I did was to adjust the volume of each clip to equalize the volume between the clips. Some birds are louder than others. But these volume adjustments were pretty minor, as the microphone really does a great job and my camera has some sort of AGC as well that boost sensitivity during really quite times. I wish it did not do this, but there is no way to turn it off as Sony flatly denies that the camera even has this feature, even after I have provided them undeniable proof that the camera is doing it. It has been a personal war of mine for sometime trying to get Sony to fix this. As of yet, they still deny that it does, despite of hundreds of people complaining about it. Thanks again for commenting.

Just my opinion. Mosquitoes are attracted by 3 things, in order of range(distance), as they zero in on blood sources. First is furthest, smell. The odor of gas or vapor that attractant lures (or humans) give off. A plume of odor that drifts down wind, or up with heat. I don't like to lure mosquitoes in my direction from a distance. So, I don't use baits. Second they sense movement, as they get closer. Most zappers don't move. So, I took out the blue light bulbs. Mosquitoes are not attracted to light. Sadly the purpose of lighted zappers is advertising. You hear lots of zaps, and assume it is working. But it is killing any bug that is attracted to light. Not mosquitoes. I replaced the bulbs with a blinking light source to try to show movement. I chose green. No idea what a mosquito can actually see, but light on/light off might work. Seeing a pound of dead moths and flies is not success. The third thing they detect is heat, from close warm-body blood holders; me. My plan was that the blinking bulbs would generate a small amount of heat, thus drawing them into the zap screen. Also, most zappers for outdoors suggest not placing them close to you doorways. But maybe 25 feet out. This is for the odor attractant to lure them to your area, but not to your doorway. And is why I don't use chemical attractants. Why advertise to a large area. They are NOT going to kill all the mosquitoes in an acre, just lure them closer to your house. Some "experts" say mosquitoes are not good fliers. WRONG. If you watch them, they seem to randomly fly in undirected patterns. This is an irregular search pattern that has worked for them for millions of years. Believe me, when they locate a warm body, they can land perfectly on the one square inch of exposed skin.

@nothingbutgadgets
@nothingbutgadgets Ай бұрын
There are no imposters. These devices are all made by the same factor in China and sold wholesale for $3.50 USD. These companies buy them, slap their brand on them, and sell them for $30. When you complain and ask for a refund, they will give you a 75% refund ($22), which means they still will profit around $5 from the sell. Now, that doesn't seem like a lot, but if you consider that they sell millions of these devices and not everyone fights for a refund, they are making tens of millions of dollars a year on this scam.
