I'd love to see a video on the folding process, particularly on the 420. Does the rubber protection underneath have much of an effect on folding?

I've had my 420 Pro for several months now and I am absolutely pleased with my purchase. I have 6 inflatable boats from 5 different companies and Striker build quality is top notch! I run a Mercury 25 Jet and it is perfect for what I use my boat for, river fishing and camping. A 40 horse would have added over 100 lbs and I wasn't comfortable with the power/weight trade off. I do a lot of fishing by myself and this package is light enough for me to easily handle solo. I am also glad I went with the Pro original model with an aluminum floor. Excellent Boats!

@@MrTk6969 not quite… we were cruising at 8 kms/hr on a 14 ft boat with 2 people and gear…. My 6 hp gas cruises at 10 km/hr on this same boat. So roughy 90%…

@@MrTk6969 sure… you are absolutely entitled to your opinion as is everyone else. For me personally having an off grid cabin on the West Coast that has no gas stations anywhere near us, having the conveniency of charging my outboard every day, and never needing the requirement for fuel, as well as no ethanol gumming up the carbs. Small motors tend to gum up every season as the government continues to dump ethanol in our fuel, degrading it significantly. Years ago, I would tend to agree with you, but Electric has really shone through for us this season. No fuel, no oil, no sound and no smell. Usually go about a week before needing to plug-in my battery.

Ive been trying to research how the exact boat does on mussels and oyster shells on the shores. Thats great to hear. What does the 1.8mm stryker shield look like/ marks and such from mussells?

My issue is the new 25 mercury I purchased with a new 14 ft. Princecraft . It’s a 20” long shaft . 2023 , both models. The outboard when clamped down on the stern puts the ventilation, or anti ventilation plate two inches to low . It should line up with the lower keel @20” no? . I spoke to a mercury tech. and was told they measure from the inside of the clamp down to the lower unit bolts and not the ventilation plate . Most new small craft boats and some old have either 15” or 20” transoms . Why are the mercury small outboards 2” to long . Before it was stolen, I had a 25 four stroke Yamaha ( brand new) on the same boat a the fitment was just right , with in a half inch. Forgot to mention , I played around with the trim and jacked the motor up . By doing that it looses all its integrity not to mention it looks just wrong . Maybe one of those fins bolted would help .

It’s to tighten up the throttle so you don’t need to keep it twisted on longer runs

Hi Daniel, unfortunately we only ship boats that are boxed or crated. We don’t arrange shipping for custom builds. There is too many things that can happen when it leaves our shop, before it arrives to you. Customers can arrange their own shipping or arrange to pick it up. 😎⚓️

I think that a lot of people think about these motors the same as we did when cordless tools were getting more popular. And that said , I’m all about it. I have a handful of gas outboards but I really want a nice electric setup

It doesn’t absorb much. EVA is added to practically all new high end boats. The pros far outweigh the cons. We will still offer the floor without it…. But you’d certainly be missing out on a very nice feature. 😎⚓️
