Mobil 1 is so overrated… I don’t get peoples love for it. I use Pennzoil Platinum oils. Great oil.

had new Pennzoil in my engine My engine seized...had to get a whole new engine ....I'll never use Pennzoil again... When my mechanic opened the motor He said it was because Oil turned to sludge... He was pretty shocked said it was because of the oil.. He's the one that did oil change 3 weeks before.. At least he did the labor for free the motor cost I paid for...

Only these two Amsoil and Pennzoil.

Disagree. Mobil maybe was cleaning your dirty motor better then PP was. I’d go with whatever is cleaning your engine faster. Your filter picks up all the crap anyway. Just change it regularly. Sludge is a killer.

I have a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3lv6.. this is my third time using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 304,000 km with no leaks. Like you guys I thought something was wrong the first time, and even questioned if my engine was running a couple of times it's that smooth, but I have not used the high mileage yet and I just did an oil change. Is there anyone that has used ultra platinum full synthetic, and then used the full synthetic high mileage? and if so did you notice a difference. I know the high mileage is made for just that purpose, had people tell me it was a gimmick but thought I would ask. I love Pennzoil Ultra platinum and would probably love just the platinum as well, but they don't make a high mileage "ultra" platinum which is fine, I just wanna know if anyone has been in my spot and noticed a big change or a subtle change with the high mileage Pennzoil.

I highly doubt you can "feel" the sludge in your motor... If your sludge issue is that bad it time to start doing some flushes and pull that engine apart, but I'm pretty sure it's all in your head..

I just changed my oil yesterday and I used Pennzoil platinum full synthetic high mileage 5W20 in my 2010 Dodge avenger sxt. It seems to be running a lot quieter and smooth, I'm gonna be using it in all my vehicles from now on. I used to use Valvoline and sometimes Mobil 1 but I'm really liking this Pennzoil so far.

Mobil 1 comes in as meets standards and it mediocre oil they have a great marketing team and that don’t mean good oil Valvoline is more Equal to Pennzoil

I been using this oil for over a year now and I have no complains at all, the engine feel super quite and smooth but my question here does High milage will cause the seals and gasket to swell ??? I have 124,000mi not sure if I should switch back to regular platinum version ???

Lol, I have used Mobil 1 and Pennzoil Ultra Platinum. My car runs the same, no difference at all. By the way I'm a mechanic. Neither of the oils on the video builds sluge at 3500 miles to affect a vvt engine.

I had regular Castro full synthetic oil before the change to high mileage Pennzoil platinum and unfortunately it dropped my MPG drastically. I was getting 35 city and 40+ mpg Hwy in my 04 acura TL yes thats right! But since i switched to this junk in getting 25mpg city and 30 Hwy... That's a drastic and terrible ratio! Stay away and keep using regula full synthetic on your high mileage cars

Do NOT use anti-seize on caliper pins, use 100% silicon Sil-Glyde. All bolts should be torqued to factory specs.

I used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum with no issues on my Camaro. I prefer Pennzoil or Mobil One. I used both and never had an issue with either. I really don't know what sluge you are talking about and you feel it. What you should have done is run both oils to 7500 miles, then send out 6 ounces to a lap. That way you can actually see how the oils are doing.

It's all API SP rated now and most modern vehicles run 0w20 and 5w20 they have for years. The best API SN 5w30 really don't matter.

I did not like the high mileage version. My dip stick seemed tacky after a while. Drained it. Maybe the standard version, but not the High Mileage for me...Hope yours works out.
