I just bought the H3 bundle that came with the two batteries the speaker mic and the extra airband antenna. The speaker mic is okay that comes with it but when you turn it up to high volumes the sound is very distorted with the speaker mic and I wound up changing the antenna to a diamond whip antenna which is much better than the stock one

Ah, yes. I looked at the H3, but went with the H8 instead. Both are good radios. Now you just need to study up and take the test. I'm WRXA270 and KJ5BRC. Comes in handy to have both.

I had 2 of them. The first one completely quit responding the first day I had it. No sound or movement whatsoever. Returned for a replacement. The second one lasted a couple of days before the claw wouldn't go up anymore. That time, I returned it for a refund. Thankfully the store was cooperative/understanding and gave me my money back that time. Makes me wonder how the manufacturer is still in business.

Yes, these replicas are shaped like the enterprise, have the markings of the enterprise, but one major complaint I have for most replicas of the enterprise. It’s way too dark! The original enterprise was not gunmetal gray, was not dark gray, was not even medium gray. It was a pale, cement gray. Check out the sidewalk. It’s not that dark.

Should the tone arm be even with the platter or just level (parallel) to the player? I am not sure how I will know the tone arm is balanced.
