Bought the bike new, done a 3000 kilometer testride with all luggage to Sardignia. started in Vancouver with 5200 km on the odo. Was familiar with it after the first 200km. Cheers mate!

Thx Constantin. Yeah, it’s really amazing, but far off everything and it takes a long ride to get there. In my case, it was very rainy, what gives the footage a kind of dramatic mood with the black clouds in the background. But it’s full beauty, the place shows only at bright sunshine: the the sand appears almost white, and all the water kind of turquoise.

Besten Dank für das informative Video. Ja, insgesamt schon eine tolle Maschine. Eines jener, für die engere Auswahl nächstes Jahr. Sicher kommt es viel drauf an was und wie man fährt.. Aber das Thema Kupplung dürft meiner Meinung nach in der Preisklasse nicht vorkommen. Frage zum Windschutz.. wenn man auch mal schneller als 130 fährt, empfinde ich das bei 1.80m schon als relativ laut hinter dem Schild, da ist die Versys 1000 besser. wie sind da deine Erfahrungen ? und welche Lösung hast du evtl. gefunden, eine Navi ( Zumo XT zb. ) sinnvoll zu befestigen ? Fahrkomfort konnte ich letzte Woche " erfahren " tatsächlich mega.. An den Charakter gewöhnt man sich bestimmt schnell, wenn man vom 4 Zylinder kommt. Aber dieses " raue " hat schon was, gepart mit Drehfreudigkeit. Das Display könnte etwas flüssiger sein, wenn man schon mit nem elektr. Fahrwerk punktet, kann man sicher auch die Bildwiederholungsrate steigern :) Mal schauen was Triumpf für 2025 für die Tiger geplant hat. Das aktuelle Zwischenmodell bekommt man nicht als Vorführer. Schon verrückt. Gute Reise weiterhin.

Danke für die Blumen! Zum Windschutz über 130 km/h kann ich leider nix beitragen, da ich seit nunmehr 62000 Kilometern in Ländern unterwegs bin, wo das die absolute Obergrenze darstellt - sorry. Wenn du in meinen Videos genau hinschaust, entdeckst du direkt vor mir auf der Lenkerbrücke den Navihalter von Tourtatech für das Garmin XT / Tread. Dem Halter kann ich nur 100 Punkte geben, genau wie dessen Position. Oberhalb vom Display habe ich meine Handyhalterung plus Kamera angebracht - das zusammen wiegt die Hälfte vom Garmin mit Halter, stellt aber schon etwas mehr als das Maximum dar, was man an dieser Position montieren sollte (Scheibe wird durch Gewicht und Stöße nach unten gedrückt). Zum Garmin Gerät kann ich leider kein positives Feedback geben!

Danke Frank. Kein Satellitentelefon, aber für den ganzen Amerika Trip hatte ich einen kleinen Satelliten Cumunicator „Garmin inreach mini 2“ Zur Sicherheit dabei, der hat nen notrufknopf und Tracking. Da dieser aber in Indien und Pakistan illegal ist, hab ich ihn hier in Thailand meinem Sohn mit heim gegeben und abgemeldet.

Dankeschön! Das liegt an dir: wenn du es schaffst das Visier bei strömenden Regen geschlossen zu halten, bleibt das Wasser draußen. Aufgrund der beschriebenen Probleme mit dem Pinlock ist mir das fast nie gelungen- und dann ist’s eh klar: Visier leicht geöffnet, Wasser rinnt auch innen ins Visier 🤗

Hey Magnus! Thx for subscribing 😃! I know what your question is about! I saw these comments too. Let me point it like this: If you’re a rookie, you’re better off on the GS when it comes to lowest speed handling, because of it’s lower point of gravity. Above 5-10 km/h this advantage is gone! You have to get used to every bike by riding it. Even if all the high mounted luggage doesn’t make it better on my Tiger, I never had any trouble in hairpins or low speed handling. But I ride since 38 years and direct my bike with over 110 kg of own bodyweight- that helps😉 Best regards from Kuala Lumpur, Jörg

@@my-global-ride Thank you for the advice Jörg, yes I am a rookie. My question is mostly for practicing and passing the driving test in Sweden, which can be really difficult. I currently live in Mexico, here the license was really easy and I driven some smaller bikes like cfmoto 450, Royal enfields, Itakas, but that is what I am going to buy when I move back to Sweden. I think I just go with the 900 or 1200 and practice more on this. What a coincidence, I am just watching 2 Wheels 2 Everywhere channel, he is in Kuala Lumpur now. lol,. Vielen Dank für das tolle Video Ich kann mich da nur anschließen, fahre eine KTM 1190 Adventure R und eine BMW GS 1250 und bin mit den Heidenau K60 absolut zufrieden. Laufleistung immer zwischen 12 bis 17000 km. Auch sehr gut im Regen zu fahren mit gutem Gripp. Sand und Matsch, denke dafür ist er auch nicht gemacht. Weiterhin gute Reise

@@my-global-ride Hallo Jörg, ja auf beiden den K60 Scout. Kann es von deinem Mitfahrer nicht nachvollziehen. Hatte auf der BMW auch schon den Karo 4 von Metzeler für Marokko aufgezogen, sehr guter Reifen, hat auch 12000 km gehalten. Aber für meine Strecken die ich fahre bin ich mit dem K60 sehr zufrieden. Weiterhin viel Spaß

Ich freue mich auf jedes deiner Videos. Den Heidenau K60 (Ranger) habe ich auch schon länger im Visier (gleiches Motorradmodell.) Ich habe derzeit den Dunlop Trailmax Raid aufgezogen (war Anfangs sehr skeptisch! Dunlop halt...) und bin tatsächlich begeistert. Sicherlich nicht die Reichweite des Scout (10k wird er aber auch schaffen), aber auf der Straße der absolute Hammer und im Gelände top. Weiterhin gute Fahrt!

Und das freut mich zu hören, ich danke dir! Ja, die Dunlops haben wir gar nicht so auf dem Schirm - die sind aber echt Klasse! Habe auf der Reise einige Amis getroffen die mit dem Trailmax Mission unterwegs waren, der schlägt den Heidenau nochmal um Längen bei der Laufleistung, und fährt sich scheinbar auch sehr gut, ohne störende Geräusche. Leider in Südamerika und SOA nicht zu bekommen, sonst wäre der jetzt drauf. Vom Raid höre ich auch nur gutes - aber wie du schon sagst, für mich wegen der Laufleistung nicht geeignet, genau wie der Ranger hinten.

I thought your video really emphasized the dynamics of the wheel sizes compared to the GS. Die hard Beemer fans will always pick the GS but I like the Triumph. A little fork dive is what I'm used too anyway, it's just a big motorcycle is all. Yeah what a monster of a machine.

How are the nads coping with the cold? Have you considered those sleeves that fit over the grips and encloses your hand? The heated grips on the Tiger aren't that hot but the sleeve protects your hands from the cold wind.

Temperatures didn't fall below 6 degrees Celsius, even if it felt much colder.. - I didn't even have to put my winter gloves, cause the heated grips did a great job on mine. sleeves are unthinkable for me, I would never attach something that prevents me from lifting a hand or foot within fractions of a second.

The part in Patagonia you are skipping (?) is possibly the most beautiful road I ever did. I am referring to Carretera Austral (Ruta 7): O'Higgins to Puerto Montt. For reference, I've ridden a motorcycle from Europe to Indonesia, South Africa to Egypt and Argentina to United States. It would be a shame to miss it. Consider it for a (shorter) future holiday/adventure then!

You are right, and I do consider to do the Caraterra Austral one day, as well as the Ruta 40 as a whole. Problem on a journey around the globe: you will see a lot, but you will miss even more. Often there is a selfset timelimit or other circumstances. But believe me- I am aware!😉

@@my-global-ride Hehe, true! Enjoy it when you get there. I was there late October last year. Probably as one of the first waves of bikers riding that season. You have to be lucky with the weather/temperature there (which we were; 3-4 days blue skies). It's possibly the best time of the year as there is barely any traffic (no dust) and no issues with ferry bookings and accommodation options. Just for info - I probably did 85-90% of the whole route Ruta 40: from Bariloche southwards it was not really that amazing. Northwards from Bariloche is definitely better and some sections quite amazing even. Of course, as you will also know, at times relatively "OK sections" could be spectacular with the right conditions. For example, after finishing Los 73 Malditos heading to Gobernador Gregores the road became magical-suddenly barely any wind and beautiful sunset. Sometimes these things are impossible to capture on video. Anyway, wishing you a safe journey and looking forward to your new videos for new inspiration for future travels!

TT-Koffer taugen leider nix, vermutlich die schlechteste wähl am Markt (kleiner Umfaller und die Dinger sind schief/undicht), besser wäre in Deinem Fall vermutlich eh die Packtaschen Version 😇 Der original Triumph Seitenständer spielt alle Stücke, Verbreiterung oft sogar eher hinderlich, aber, macht schon was her 😁 Feines Moped, bin auf die Haltbarkeit des Kardan gespannt, beim Propeller ist ja Ersatz im Koffer immer ratsam 😇

Sehe ich wie Du, habe auch zwei Anzüge dabei, plus Heizweste 😇, dafür aber kaum weitere Kleidungsstücke😁, meine Stiefel sind die Topp Ware von Revit, weil höhere Sicherheit, bei feinstem Tragekomfort. Bei der Hose ist meine Erfahrung, da reicht auch eine 3-Lagen GTX mit feiner Lüftung, helle Farbe ist Pflicht, wenn es heiß wird. Was man aber unbedingt beherzigen darf, ist sich für GTX zu entscheiden, alles andere liefert nicht, außerdem gibt`s bei Gore LifteTime Garantie, unabhängig vom Ausrüstungshersteller gratis on top immer dazu.
