You don't have to wipe your squeegee between wipes? I'm a rookie 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@DustToGloryPW8 күн бұрын
No sir! Not unless you see it leaving streaks then you may have a hair or something on it that you can wipe off but other than that it’s not necessary. Sometimes wiping it can actually add things like hair, threads or other small things to the rubber so occasionally I just dip it in the soap bucket and it’s all good 🤝 Another thing that helps is getting the blue surgical towels from WCR, definitely give those a shot
@GreggthaChristian7 күн бұрын
@DustToGloryPW yeah, the place i just left wiped after every single stroke. It definitely did exactly what you said.. left strings from the blue towels 🤷🏻♂️ not to mention the water at the end of the day was horribly dirty 🤦🏻♂️ i would ask multiple times if I could change it, but the answer was always no🤦🏻♂️ I'm currently looking into starting my own soft/ pressure washing biz. Thanks for your info man 👍🏻

Hey Brent we talked in the past and you gave me some good advice was hoping to pick your Brain for a bit. I got offer to clean new construction homes and concrete here in austin tx. Was wondering your thoughts if I should use chems or not. On house wash and concrete
@DustToGloryPW9 күн бұрын
Hey brother! On new construction for us up here typically we don’t need chems, the only thing we use chem on occasionally is maybe skid steer tire tracks, most of the time you can just hit them with a little pressure and they come right up. If they are being stubborn you may need a little degreaser and a brush to break down the rubber a little bit and then they come right out 🤙🏼
@frankhinojosa1339 күн бұрын
@@DustToGloryPW what about new construction homes do you just rinse down with water only or do you use chems
@DustToGloryPW8 күн бұрын
@@frankhinojosa133Most of the time water only, sometimes you may need something like One Restore for red clay if you have that around you and maybe some degreaser for tire marks but really that’s about it. New construction typically won’t have algae growth or any other stains. Hot water does help a ton if you do garage cleaning though, there will be things like drywall mud, paint drips and things like that. It’s doable with cold water but hot water helps break that stuff down.

Are we allowed to let the water and chemicals used during a wash run down into the storm drains? If not what steps can be taken to prevent this? Thanks
@DustToGloryPW9 күн бұрын
Definitely check with your local laws but a good rule of thumb is no. There’s tons of good videos on how to prevent that, you can buy the drain socks that filter out the stuff that’s not allowed, sometimes drains look like they are storm drains but some places actually have their own holding tanks. Tons of variables but something you should definitely put a lot of thought into and do your research beforehand 🤙🏼

How did you decide on a system?
@DustToGloryPW8 күн бұрын
I knew I wanted a 4 stage system and when I got my trailer the builder couldn’t get my 10gpm hot box in so he included the system instead. It was the only one he had in stock so it just worked out that way. I’d recommend it for sure
@Wa004DE11 күн бұрын
what do you charge them per sq ft?
@DustToGloryPW9 күн бұрын
It really depends on how many sqft we are cleaning, if it’s a small area then we may go off of an hourly rate, sometimes it’s a daily rate, if it’s a small area we may also go off of sqft which is typically around $0.20 - $0.35 for concrete, if it’s a bigger property where we are cleaning for example 30,000 sqft of concrete it may be a little lower like in the $0.15 range. It also depends on how dirty the concrete is and how much chemical will be needed. A lot of variables in that as well.

Man for the first 6 months I had cold water only and I got good results, there’s times even now that I don’t bother running hot water and I just do stronger chem. I would say do the best you can with cold and save up for hot because it really does help to have hot water on some jobs.

Yo Man, awesome vid. Any EPA issues using those chems at a location like chick fil a?
@DustToGloryPW23 күн бұрын
Great question, we’ve had no issues putting down the storm drain filter socks. That’s what is required here locally. I’ve been kicking around the idea of building a reclaim system so we can land the jobs that require it but for now we just make sure none of our soaps go into storm drains. A couple locations we wash have drains but they aren’t connected to the water system, they either go into a holding tank and get pumped out or they go into a filter system that cleans the water so we don’t have to worry about reclaiming.
@trentpeterson1806Ай бұрын
How long did this job take you?
@DustToGloryPW23 күн бұрын
Usually Chick-fil-A’s take us about 1.5 hours, if they are super dirty maybe 2. If I’m filming and talking a lot then maybe 2.5 but really you can knock them out pretty quick if you’re efficient.
