Hi, thank you for the great video! How important is it to put the onion slice on top?
@TravisBlue110 ай бұрын
Not a requirement by any means. Will be fine without it.

Are they certified Hatch? Probably not. Everybody throws around the word HATCH, not knowing what it means. It just means that SOME, NOT ALL chili is grown in Hatch NM. There are chili growers ALL OVER NM that grow chili just as good if not better, and you don’t have to pay for the name. Fresh green chili is only available in the fall. That is also where you get red chili. It comes in mild, med, hot, and extra hot. You purchase the heat you want.

That is a lot of information…I bought them in Los Angeles where they are available seasonally like they are all over the place. If they’re not truly from Hatch, I guess that’s on me, but I have no way of knowing for sure. They tasted pretty good though.

I am making this chilies right now, do I put the hot water or do I let it cool off into the jars?
@TravisBlue111 ай бұрын
If I’m reading your question correctly, I pour the hot liquid into the jars, then seal them and let them cool on the counter before I put them in the fridge

Perfect video! now i know this is an older video, but anyone know how long can these preserve for?

looks great , was just wondering how long do you pre-cook the potato slices before adding to leeks to bake .

Next video (if you do more) consider speaking more slowly and articulating more clearly. I could not understand about a fourth of what you said until I listen to it over again. Several times there were two or even three words that sounded like one... e.g., forthegrits, At 1:29 what did you say... "southern for white man plumbing"?
@TravisBlue1 Жыл бұрын
I only wish I had said “southern for white man plumbing.” That would have been truly memorable.

@@TravisBlue1 Ha! I agree with that. Would you tell me what you did say?

You can do the same on your wooden kitchen cabinets ( i mean mineral oil) Thank you for the instruction. I just started using mineral oil. So funny. I have the same cutting board as yours. I spray first and then use paper towels. Seems like they never dry. But, because i put them flat. Lol

I’d recommend lightly sanding the old cutting board first, wash the dust off and let dry thoroughly, then oil and wax. Big difference. Oh, and warm up both the oil and the wax cream before you apply them
