I don’t reaalllly have a type but if I did, Diane is my type. Definitely my type when I first came out and realized I liked women. I mean my queer awakening was Tig Notaro so…

They looked pretty darn good. Then as now, you got to be vigilant. Lots of folks don't like these guys/girls at all & are very violent towards them. It has never really been properly addressed & when the gov. gets involved, it's all messed up for the wrong reasons as is today.

They are siblings, the creators of this short film confused them as a couple

To me he seems, like others have said, rather common in his meth-addled prattling. What’s interesting is that he’s considered such a countercultural icon, and that he was taken so seriously by talented writers like Ginsburg, Kesey, and Kerouac. I can only assume that mainstream culture must have been so dull and buttoned up that this kind of behavior felt freeing, by comparison.

Here's what always got me whenever certain cartoons. from Paramount especially Popeye, speak. Sometimes you see them just talking with their gums knowing full well they've got teeth. Was that a mistake on the animators part if so, it's a funny one

Wow! This restoration is incredible! The sound quality is amazing and even the picture and color stay very true to the original animation cels. Great job to the restoration team behind this one! And even the cartoon itself, I must say, it's surprisingly very good! Probably one of the funniest 30s cartoons I've seen in a long time, with a strong sense of comedic timing and creative usage of gravity. I can imagine the Looney Tunes creators like Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng took a lot of inspiration from cartoons like this.

Today is the *3* year anniversary of when "Queens at Heart" was uploaded! I seriously wonder if any of these women survived past the '80s and '90s. To say that the HIV/AIDS crisis did a number on the LGBTQ+ community would be an understatement! 🤓➡️🤔
