Hi Emma! Well done! You’re amazing 🎉 What was the signage like on the course? Thinking of taking this on in 2025! 😊
@emmaandshaunexploreКүн бұрын
Ahh thanks! Signage is really good, plenty of volunteers to cheer you on all the way. It's a really popular course, so you won't get lost! Good luck if you decide to take it on. Xx

This my not solve all the problem of transporting pets by airplane, but at least will bring more security to the small pets. There is an official petition to the UK Government and Parliament to change the rules and allow small pets to come in the cabin like most countries in the world and the UE. Help spread this if you can. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/650194?reveal_response=yes

Hi does the AHC come in English or does it need to be translated into the language of the country you are going to?
@emmaandshaunexplore3 ай бұрын
Our AHC was written in dual language based on the country of entry into the EU. You have to provide that info to the vet/ahc service when you request one, so they will determine the correct form to be completed. Hope that helps 😊

Braemar is fairly local to us and one of the few that open all year apart from November. We've never been in the summer months in our van, preferring Autumn & Winter. As you can imagine, its stunning then. Being a keen landscape/wildlife photographer, I'm in my element there. Also a Sony shooter and also a black & white Spaniel owner 😊 We love Farquarsons after a nice winter's wander with its roaring log fire. My favourite Braemar beer is the Summer Sun. I've yet to try the Oat Stout. If Shaun enjoys a stout, he needs to try Brewdog's Black Heart. It's like Guinness but better (or just as good) Enjoying watching this series of videos as the locations are only an hour or thereabouts from home. Great work!!
@emmaandshaunexplore4 ай бұрын
Ahh thank you, we will be going back this way this spring/summer, so any other recommendations would be great! I will tell him to try that stout, he loves trying them all! 🤣 If you also have any favourite wildlife photography spots please let me know, I am determined to get out with my camera a bit more on our next trip! 😊

We were there last week - in the very same pitch. We came home to Aberdeen via the snow road in a sleety blizzard. The paths on the second half of the loop go between the fields and are fenced off so you'd be safe from horses and cows 😊 A great place and well certainly be going back.

I thought, when you were let down by Dumfries' uninspiring high street, that you'd have better luck in Moffat with its 18 varieties of Edinburgh Wooden Mill! 🤘😂 I trust you locked that box of tablet away safely. We drove back south once with some for the in-laws, stopping off for lunch at a friend's house near Preston. When we got back to the car, the dog had burrowed through all the luggage to a bag in the bottom of the boot, opened it and scoffed the lot! Shame you missed the Grey Mare's Tale. It's beautiful.
@emmaandshaunexplore4 ай бұрын
Yeah, we were gutted about the waterfall. That tablet made it all the way home to Dorset, where our Scottish friend, enjoyed it immensely! 😁

We used to go to an adventure playground at Drumlanrig Castle when we were kids in the 80s. I've no idea if it's still there now, but we had great fun on rope bridges through the trees, pretending to be Ewoks! 🐻🤘😂 You're lucky to see that view of the stars too. Where we lived near Moffat you could see the Milky Way any clear night. Then they built a gas pumping station about a mile away from the house - which must be visible from Mars - and that put an end to that! 😡
@emmaandshaunexplore4 ай бұрын
We didn't notice a playground, so probably isn't there anymore but it's a beautiful spot. Shame the castle was closed though. We love the dark skies spots and that was particularly beautiful. Make you feel so small and insignificant 😊

Galloway Forest Park is beautiful; I've camped over there a few times. Hope you avoided midge season though! 😬 Also, I don't think I could put a doggy cupcake in front of any of ours without it disappearing, paper case 'n all, in one go! 😂

We loved it round there, so beautiful. We did get a few midges up by Bruce's stone but nothing major. We will definitely go back and do some more exploring.

KZfaq popped one of your more recent videos on my homepage, but I thought I'd start with this series as I grew up around Moffat. I used to go to the Caerlaverock nature reserve a lot growing up and Castle Douglas is lovely too. Threave Castle nearby is where _anyone_ who visits my mum and dad gets taken for a day out! 😂 Also, IIRC, there's a good chippy opposite the road to the campsite. 😋
