I found that if I just let it sit there, they will peck the bait to death. BUT if I slowly move my rod to the left, then to the right…They have to commit to biting it, and I catch way more than others who just let it sit there.

Love the underwater cam. Provides great insights. "While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen." Matthew 4:18

You need a stiffer line and a bite float. You missed too many brah.

use a circle hook where it will auto set the hook when the fish bite the bait.

Went fishing last week for sunfish and I think I found their new favorite bait. The bait I tried using was a banana because I left some bread at home and they were eating the banana so fast I was getting fish every cast right when it touched the water.

Good at feeding them but not catching them 🤣

A lot of it has to do with light and water clarity, plus time of day. If the sun is super bright purple works great. If the water is clear pink. If the water is murky or dark chartreuse works great. Generally chartreuse is thr most universal attention grabber for trout.

Drop shot is not a good method for trout. Use a slip sinker with a floating bait. You’ll get more hook ups.

bro the colored ball thing works i knew a guy that would buy skittles, eat half the bag and fish with the rest. they dont hold their color as long as they used to, no idea if it still works. (but probably since they turn white?)

I was wondering if you could use them in swifter water on a drop shot rig. The weight should get them closer to the bottom and in the strike zone.

Why is this a video? They are a farm raises stocked fish you can catch them with anything. I caught one barehanded out of the river this year. A 14 incher. Its like fish in a barrel. If you cant catch trout quit fishing its not for you.

Yellow Power Eggs have been my go to for trout for 15 or so years. Use two, run hook through the top egg, run out through the bottom. I run a tiny splitshot and a larger sliding clip on sinker about 2 ft above the bait. Have had some success with white and red, but yellow is the best. I'm in rural, Central Pa.
