i had no idea he had covered this beautiful song. Wow ! When and where did he do it ? His version is amazing. He's so good at covering songs and making them his. He doesn't just copies the way the original singer sang it, he sings them in his own way and it's beautiful. And, to me, it's what true talent is about.

Let be clear and succinct...Darren needs to play Christian on B'way or in a remake of the movie. End of story!

This song was written in the 60's by Elton John and Bernie Taupin. It was a popular song of fans that he (Elton) performed when he was playing the small venue concert circuit. It was possible to see him playing before audiences of a couple hundred people at that time, rather than the stadiums holding 45,000 today. Your Song was first put on an LP in 1970, the self titled 'Elton John' his second LP. From there the song slowly gained international acclaim. Darren Criss picked a very good piece of music and it is a shame that people in the audience did not realize what they were missing.

Vern Hart don't forget the song appeared in the movie Moulin Rouge in which CHRISTIAN SANG THIS SONG. Darren Criss should play Christian in a remake of Moulin Rouge. The venue in which he was recorded singing this song was MARIE'S CRISIS. A gay bar in the West Village. I believe (not sure though...He played there quite frequently during his Star Kid days and also early Glee days.

Ughhhh, one of my, like, FIVE absolute heart-stopping fave performances of the night. I'm hoping my mom's phone (*cough* yes, I had to go with my mother, even as a 26yo. ....birthday present, what can ya do?? :P ) got all of this one. My phone died somehow seconds after we got the venue despite being CERTAIN it was fully ready to go. So, your videos so far are such a life-saver. I'm hoping that - with as close as EVERYONE got to be - a for real videographer captured the night ;)
