I studied with Sid back in 1991, it was the first time I encountered the verbiage "idioms" or idiomatic..The experience was so rewarding because he made so much sense...cheers!

Messiaen is advanced stuff!!! I remember as a chorister many many years ago, singing “O sacrum convivium!” - still sends shivers up and down my spine when I hear it … 👍👍

Sorry what do you mean? Other than the ones in the book. There are patterns in the book to last a lifetime haha. I think it's best to narrow it down at first and pick few ones that you really like and really get them under your fingers before moving on to more advanced patterns
