Cool mirrors. I’m interested if they have one that’s just a plain mirror no electric connections. I have a pretty basic Wrangler Ecodiesel.

These are interesting. I want forward-facing lights and better-quality rearview mirror glass, so I've been kicking around the idea of combining Oracle's LED off-road side mirrors and the SUMA Performance convex mirror glass replacements for the nearly useless OEM glass on my Gladiator. I like these Boost Auto mirrors and spec'd the way I'd want them, the prices are very comparable. Surprisingly comparable, in fact. A huge consideration is the difference in the complexity of the installation process. Difficulty wise, Oracle wins hands down. Ultimately, it may not be a choice, as Boost's site has no option for 20-24 Gladiators or Gladiator specific install video.
@JeepingForBeginners22 сағат бұрын
The install would be the same process. I found the plugs are in the same place, and R&R is very similar.... running the wiring can seem over whelming at first, but I found it was not hard to make all the connections , they give you more then enough wiring too... its just time consuming to make sure it's all tucked away. Like I said, I love them, so I know you will too! 😉

what is the logic behind it being parallel? just trying to understand
@JeepingForBeginners4 күн бұрын
They need to run parallel to each other so that while the suspension cycles up and down, they move in unison. If they are not the same angle, when the suspension moves up and down, they will bind, or fight each other, and that causes negative reactions.

I've been a Jeep owner for many years. Hardly a beginner and nothing irks me more than self-professed 'experts' who dog on 'newbs' -- a term I actually HATE. My daughter recently had her vehicle go down, so she's been using my plow/work horse Jeep while we hunt down something else for her... likely a Wrangler. She had me cracking up after a few days going on about how cool it was to drive with the top down, but I think she got the biggest kick from 'the wave'. LOL. I think that may have sealed the deal with what her next vehicle is going to be. Great channel BTW.

I love this video! Your intro is amazing. Before I fully go in on and exchange this part out, may I ask, mine turns on and off especially when I turn, is this possibly also the cause of that on and off
@JeepingForBeginners11 күн бұрын
Yes, turning changes the pressure on the bearing, and can cause the lights to change... but that's almost further confirmation you need a new hub

Jeep JL 2018 SPort s, had to replace mine today at the dealerhsip. THey said the pulleys were worn and suggested replacing those too...I did it, it was not cheap like 800 bucks for everything but TBH 800 bucks is not bad at 100k miles, it was whining for about 10 days on startup in the AM then it went away but did not want it to evolve into something worse. Knew the belt replacement would have to be done at some point around 100k miles of hard driving (off road, long trips, etc.).

Why is the goal size 35 inch?
@JeepingForBeginners20 күн бұрын
For the purposes of the math on this video, I chose that as the size, easier than explaining variables to an audience. As a video directed at beginners, the biggest question raised online was about 35s as well. If your goal is a different size, great... but the math still applies. So take it for what it is, an "example"... not your own personal goal.

There is a KZfaq video on " not to buy" for almost every make and model of vehicle. It's all bs. If you maintain your vehicle and research what to buy before you do so , no one with a brain would give these vids a grain of salt. I've had 6 Jeeps. Grand Cherokees. Since 1998. They have been reliable, comfortable, capable and stylish. Does that matter to anyone else but me? Nope. Do l care what this guy thinks , or what you think? Nope. 😅
@JeepingForBeginners26 күн бұрын
I appreciate the comment, but the comment in and of itself shows you did not watch the video... lol. Should not judge a book by its cover and title only.... 🤔 lol. Cause if you had watched the entire video, you would have noticed I am not actually suggesting you "dont" buy a Jeep. But like I said, I appreciate the comment. 😉

So I went on vacation for a week and when i came back my 2019 jeep grand Cherokee was completely dead. Upon jumping it and turning it on 3 lights came on (Check engine light, ABS, and the Electronic Stability Control) the check engine light went away. The other two haven’t. The car has been perfect and no problems at all. I just hate having lights on, on my dash.

What do you think about spacers?
@JeepingForBeginners29 күн бұрын
I am not a fan of spacers as a fix to the backspacing issue. They tend to cause excessive wear on Bearings and can fail over time. However, as a temporary stop gap until a appropriate set of rims can be purchased, they can work. But spacers are not a solution, ever. Just a poor bandaid. In my opinion

I call B.S. I've been driving Jeeps since 1975 and I have never experienced anything like this. I'm not saying it isn't true, but not every Jeep driver will experience this.

I said that too until I was driving down the highway and hit a small bump in the road which make my Jeep 2022 Sahara shake so hard I had to slow down to under 50 miles an hour at the time I was doing 70 on the highway. It would shimmer for a few seconds after small bumps and then one day it just totally did the death wobble . I took it to my local deep dealership. They changed out the steering stabilizer never had the problem again. I don't think this happens on every Jeep just happened to have manufacturer faulty steering stabilizer for my jeep's year. I'm so happy it hasn't happened to you it's quite a shock

Great video. You nailed all the issues that I’ve been seeing too. Especially with number 4. I see so many people diss on Jeeps and saying their Toyota or whatever is better and blah blah. Sure it’s probably better in some ways especially on the road (lol), but when it comes to off roading, a Jeep is gonna perform much better in more extreme off road instances. I mean Jeep has been building and designing vehicles for around 80 years now. I’d expect them to be better than almost any other off road vehicle out there for its intended purpose. Also I agree a lot with how you maintain your vehicle. If you don’t treat and care for it, it’s not gonna treat you back well at all. I’ve been keeping up with the maintenance on my jeep and have pretty much no complaints or issues about it. Anyways great video!

Thanks for the video! Made me laugh when the new latches you pulled out were the very ones I just received to install on my jeep. Should have shown the harder one to remove first though. That way if you’re going to give up you’re not halfway done already. I didn’t have the universal joint adapter so I pulled the plunger for the hood light and was able to use a 6” extension with 13mm, seat it on the nut and then attach my socket wrench. Took some trial and error but still completed the whole project in around an hour.

if you notice you will see that all other off road or 4x4 vehicles compare themselves to the jeep (wrangler)...the jeep is the standard they need to live up to...and always will have to...jeep is not the competition as there is no other vehicle like it for sale in North America...the 4 runners, Broncos etc are all in competition with themselves...mechanically with the IFS they are all similar to each other rather than the jeep's live axles...
