Yep Been a victim of this for 3 years. Neurological symptoms…. Can’t walk Fall over, Throw up, Can’t talk I go numb in front of neck and partial face. Some face pain on and on. Definitely no life anymore. Now I have no appetite and do not eat. Nauseated or no appetite. starts at the back of upper neck. I kept thinking it was my c1-2 nerve. 2 days a week . Migraines in between. Sold my salon . I was not able to be dependable any longer. I was in business for 39 years. No one has offered this to me. Going to a neuro surgeon in two weeks and I will be talking to him about this. Thank you

Had hip replacement 9 months ago, been miserable since day 1, fairly normal lumbar mri, no disc bulges or nerve issues noted. Have constant butt, hamstring & calf tightness. Also pins/needles in back of knee, top of knee, thigh, calf, top of foot & between toes….does this sound like my piriformis?? I’m in NC, can you help?
@youreworthyourweightinavoc71892 ай бұрын
Perhaps the symptoms you have could be explained by piriformis syndrome but it would not explain any anterior thigh symptoms - as the sensory and motor nerves to the thigh do not come from the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve innervates the posterior thigh and the whole lower leg (anterior and posterior) and foot (top and bottom). Sounds like you need to talk to your surgeon about the problem and/or possibly get a second opinion. Your issue does sound nerve related, as feelings of tightness and pins and needles often have their source in nerve problems.
@blakemoore6662 ай бұрын
@@youreworthyourweightinavoc7189 would a nerve study help confirm nor deny things if it’s nerves? And what areas of my hip/leg/ etc do they study?
@youreworthyourweightinavoc71892 ай бұрын
@@blakemoore666 potentially a nerve conduction study would help. Maybe even someone reviewing your MRI as occasionally things are missed. Perhaps it could even be the hip replacement has changed your limb length and that could affect your back - which in turn could affect your nerves. But you need someone experienced in hip replacements and/or their rehab to give you meaningful answers and I am not that in that category.

My son recently severed his Popliteal artery in his right knee along with severing his ACL & PCL…he severed his nerves in his leg as well. they did emergency artery bypass utilizing the saphenous vein from his left leg and replacing the popliteal artery with the vein! They are unable to now fix his ACL & PCL since they are not able to place a tourniquet on his leg for surgery…thinking it will collapse his bypass! Is a tourniquet needed for this surgery? He has severe nerve damage and severe drop foot, that is starting to contract down & inwards! Any insight would be greatly appreciated! He is only 17 and this just happened while camping in the desert.

Hi Dr. Williams. I saw you a few years ago and you said you could not help me because my back was involved with my foot pains. I now have an additional, new, different, and unusual pain. When I touch or rub the bone in my left forearm I feel pain and sizzling in my left foot. The same foot that has severe pains for 29 years. Do you have any idea what it could be? I know it's a crazy problem, but someone has to know what this could be. So far no one I've seen knows what it is or doesn't believe me, or can't be bothered with it. Thanks for a reply, sincerely, Pete.

Is there any chance of doing a nerve transplant for a tramatic peroneal nerve damage after 15 years? I severed my right peroneal nerve back in 2008 after knee/fib/tib fracture and then in 2010 had the Bridle tendon transfer done...
