Great video and love your content. At the beginning of the video you said that you were targeting summertime bluegill NOT on beds, but all you fished were beds. Can you please do a video on how to locate them but not on the beds? In open water, on structure, or around boat docks.

I've been fishing that lake for 26 years. You are absolutely right about those beds and I recognize every one in your video. Tons of small fish like you said but 2 weeks ago I caught a 10" hybrid. The lake has gone downhill from years past. The grass has ruined a lot of access to the beds and everyone has figured out the ones that are accessible. That's why I never fish on the weekend. I tie my own jigs (1/32 and 1/64 oz) and do well tipping them with wax worms. I usually give a dozen away to local fishermen with their kids most trips. If I see you out there, I will give you some to try out or pass on to some kids. I've told a lot of people to look for the Mamosa trees. Other than that point with the gravel about 90% of the beds are within 50 feet of a Mamosa tree. Maybe we should start calling them Mamosa bream.

Beautiful pond! I ve been cutting watershield weeds in my pond! Been at it for about a month! Hard labor I tell you! I put blue dye, and I need to use a herbicide for treating the watershield weed. They say those chemicals are safe, but I am afraid to kill the fish!

I've discovered a problem with these. The carb they use is undersized for starters. It has a 12 mm bore I think. More importantly I discovered that they don't utilize crank case pressure to actuate the fuel pump. Instead that port is open to the engine side of carb bore itself. It will of course see some pressure pulses, but not nearly enough relative to what it would get from the crank case. Also, seems to me at least, that at WOT the rotovalve will be completely open resulting in even less of a pulse exactly when you need it most. I do not see any practical way of engineering a solution to this. Every single replacement carb that I can find has a port on the engine side that should go to crank pulse. The engine on these Hangkai motors has no port there. Also they use a combination of mounting plates/risers so that, in my opinion, makes it even more difficult. These motors do have a crank vent tube that goes to the breather. I've been rolling around the possibility of somehow tapping into that in order to use a better carb. So far I don't have a solution

Why do you avoid the grass areas?
@midsouthoutdoors7321

Because it shows there aren't any beds in that area. When the fish clear out their beds, it removes any grass growing around it.

I dont understand the logic of buying the cheapest possible equipment and expecting too much of it. Buy a little suzuki, yamaha, honda, tohatsu or mercury and be happy for many years! Availability of spare parts and dealers? Personally I do not believe that Chinese make crappy products. I believe in crappy customers that don't want to pay money for a decent product!!!🎉

It's a simple 4 hp lawnmower motor design. It will run for ages if you look after it, change oil, grease the movable joints etc. Of course better outboards exist but not for the money. Good luck with the motor!

Great video! Very informational. Most videos on KZfaq that are titled how to find or how locate bluegill have about 1 to 2 minutes of actually locating bluegill and the rest is of them catching them. Thank you so much for your videos and keep up the great work. Looking forward to a video of you locating them when they aren't on beds. You've definitely gained a subscriber. Fish on!

They were catching crappie from the bank at Herb Parsons about a week ago. Decent bank bass fishing at Poplar Tree. Catfish might be better on the MS river down by Mud Island. You can bank fish under the bridge near the Pyramid.

You keep comparing the size of the bait to the fish ur catching, do you not realize what a predator fish will eat? It’ll easily eat something half its size to like 2/3rds its size. Some die because they literally try to eat something way to big.
