A script would be really nice for these. The foundation of the video was solid, but half of it was "um, well, uh" and silence while you were thinking. If you record the video and voice over separately, you can write a coherent script to record over top and keep it nice and neat imo

@@Meister_Murloc saying its hard to code is a cop-out. Plenty of VTTs out there that do more that are coded. This is a beautifully designed scene creator that is wasted on being printed out or just to have on a screen. Even if its coded to be able to create small to medium scenes that players can be in would be great because of what you can do. Allow tabs like RPG stories to create scenes players can jump to and from. But I digress, great creator but poor execution for use. Maybe one day someone else will buy it out and see the potential.

Why not make "one" hairstrand object with "one" UV map and after that copy that hairstrand objekt and edit it - you do all one by one "new" and after that one by one all UV Maps again... looks very time consuming ... and for the most part you don't need the mesh backsites of the head hair ... i know hexagon very well... thats why i use Blender. Do you use hexagon just for Enterraining peaple on youtube or just find out efficent 3D workflows. The Idea to create a fast Hair Model and then therfore a AI "image to image" to see how a Hair texure / flow could look like is also nice for beginner With 3D tools we have many Workflows .. Yes there is not allways "the best way" for all things, i like to create hair with 3 sided hairstrand objekts and use this as clothsimulation objekts in blender ... soooo many ideas to make 3D hair ^^ Wish you a nice day/night and 3D fun!

if you check my other content you'll that i have previously made one or two strands, mapped them and copy paste them. but in my experience making individual strands although time consuming looks more natural and thus better in the render. i know i don't need the mesh backside, again, often i make that flat and just model the front, but when i extrude all sides and then copy paste the strand i can have multiple sies again for the natural look. i just take my time and if it takes longer i am fine with that. as for workflow, i am working with hexagon for years, i think i am coming up on the seven year mark and i have my flow in it. also there are not many people making content for it so for the small community that like to use hexagon they get a chance to see others use it as well. thanks for the wishes and i hope you too have a nice day and many good experiences in 3D modelling :)

@@Meister_Murloc Oh, I've seen you work very smoothly with Hexagon and I would like to say that "in some cases" Hexagon is better than Blender 4.x even the Hexagon UI is still a bit better, especially for 3D newbies and works with Daz3d "out of the box". Hexagon was my first SubD and UV tool ever (before SILO and later Blender), that's why i check out your channel from time to time and I like to say "Meister" you make really nice 3D + DAZ stuff with it.

Hi there- I played this game almost obsessively during my childhood and got pretty good at it! Watching this stream was a definite nostalgia trip. I was curious about a few decisions you made while playing- -At the beginning of the game, you were trying to use Crash on your opponent's units. The spell is primarily meant to be used on your own units, giving them a boost at the cost of permanent hit points. Crash is great to use on expendable units like mercenaries or goblins, increasing their combat output considerably. -Following combat, all experience is equally divided among surviving units, even if those units cannot level up anymore. If you're trying to quickly level up champions in the early game, it can be a good tactic to create a lot of goblins and mercenaries and letting them die in combat while softening up the enemy, then cleaning up with your champions. -It seemed like during the early game, you were having trouble keeping your mage alive. It takes a lot of micromanaging to keep mages alive at that stage. I often find that my warrior units can handle themselves pretty well so I'll often check in on them every 5 seconds while making sure my squishier units aren't getting targeted by ranged units. Fun fact- while it doesn't give an option for mages to parry individually, any unit can be made to parry if you select multiple units, click the defend button on the unit you want to parry, and then assign the other units to go into battle. The Shaman has fairly high attack so setting her to parry can help increase her longevity a bit. The Huntress Lord can also be quite tanky when set to parry due to her relatively high attack, defense, and hit points. It can often be fun to set her to parry while your Beast Rider just cleaves through the units surrounding her. -Starting around turn 14, it seemed like you stopped focusing on healing your units in the Temple. Considering Chaos typically has low armor and no meaningful healing spells, it's definitely worth the crystal investment in the early game to keep your champions healthy so you can keep expanding and getting more EXP. -Marauders will always raze villages the second they capture them. If I don't have the units to protect a village, I immediately build a watch tower and whatever is most useful for my Faith and then raze the village myself, preventing other Faiths from destroying that building and building something else. This "locks-in" the building you chose, allowing you to go re-capture and rebuild it if necessary. -I find that the Air Thieves Guild is quite possibly the best village building for Chaos to take. Chaos often struggles with mobility and ranged damage and having Fae Slingers to fill that role in the party is very useful. If you're not trying to play fair, you can also station them over impassable terrain so melee units can't deal damage to them. -I think you could definitely have beaten the Earth Great Temple without autocalc if you had healed for a few turns! Chaos units are unique in that they have better recovery rates when outside (as long as they haven't moved), letting you just park them overland and wait. Earth has pretty poor mobility so it was unlikely that they would have gotten to their temple first without you knowing. Following that, setting your Beast Rider to parry in that choke point while your Huntress took out the panthers and the goblin archers, then setting him to attack the remaining orcs would almost certainly have won you the match. -Several times, you began repositioning your units prior to beginning combat without checking what units you were up against, as well as their level. On turn 128, when Death was spamming you with Mage Tower units, you were using Hand of Fate on their Necromancers even though they were only level 2. At that level they're not worth the mana or backfire risk and you're better off just attacking them with other units. -On turn 80, if you had trained your Thieves Guild one more turn you could have trained a level 4 Huntress and level 3 Stickthrowers! Oftentimes a difference in one level can mean the difference between keeping and losing a capitol city. -Blades of Fury is a great spell. Send in your expendable units to get the enemy clustered and then launch it right into the middle of their units. You'll often kill most of them and whoever is left will be severely damaged. If you're feeling particularly evil, you can use it to kill off your own non-champion units so your champions will get all of the EXP after the battle. -On turn 97 you bolstered your Earth Capitol army but you didn't go fight the big marauding party that had taken your Thieves Guild. They would have been an excellent way to get them some experience while preventing them from destroying it. -That was a perfect use of the Barbarian Arena on turn 113! Getting a massive army like that even more ready for combat is highly optimal. -I'm surprised you didn't spend a few turns training up your Earth units after that battle during turn 122. Earth territory is a highly crucial "anchor" for Chaos because it directly borders Order and Death, your two greatest enemies, and their units don't suffer any terrain penalty in either of those regions. Earth has some of the best barracks units in the game and a very powerful Legendary Creature, making it quite worthwhile to invest in. You left your Earth capitol at level 2 for the entire game, which I found quite surprising. -The Death village could have been helpful but you were already about to go take their capitol city, so you probably didn't need to spend any resources there. -On turn 129, you were slightly short on movement points to reach the Death city but you had many units in your party with relatively low movement points. I think if you had separated your units with remaining movements points (which would have included your champions and the Hydra), you could definitely have taken the city. On turn 153 when you were demolishing the Death military buildings, you had a lot of Skeletons in your party which have terrible mobility. Separating your party or disbanding the Skeletons would probably have let you reach the Mage Tower and destroy it as well. Don't be afraid to split the party if it means gaining control of an important enemy asset! -On turn 132, you had enough resources to upgrade the Death city to level 3! You just needed to free up some followers first. From that point you could have started training Death units, perhaps even training some Necromancers for their incredible spell list and very high mana reserves. -Hanging around in the Death territory for around 10 or so turns would have been a great investment, especially since it would prevent Balkoth from retaking his city. At that point in the game you controlled Chaos, Earth, and Death, Life controlled itself, Water, and Air, Order and Fire were still holding their own cities, leaving Death with nothing. Since Fire was an allied faith of yours at the time, there was little incentive for you to move up into their territory (unless you wanted to betray them). -Journeying up near the Fire Capitol without taking any of their territory cost you quite a lot of time and gave Balkoth an opening to get the Death capitol back. You got a Fire Thieves Guild from their village, but Fire has some of the worst Thieves Guild units in the game and they're not worth the trouble, especially when you have access to Assassins and Javelins. -On turn 152, you were training units to spam against Balkoth when you could have hired mercenaries! It would have been much cheaper, not limited by followers, and could quite possibly have burned through the other units accompanying him. The "mercenary zerg rush" is often used by the AI and for good reason. -On turn 157, you autocalc'd against Balkoth. The game HEAVILY weights autocalc in Balkoth's favor, even if he's out of mana and on penalizing terrain. It's almost never a good idea to use autocalc against him. -Once he's significantly injured, Balkoth will flee combat. During your final battle against him, a good tactic would have been to push heavily forward with all of your melee units and Stickthrowers while putting your Shaman as far in the back as possible. This would force the Death units to fight on penalizing terrain, allowing you to mow them down with ease. From that point you could have attempted to stunlock Balkoth with a Blades of Fury or burning him down with Hand of Fate before he could run away. Considering you had a Dwarven Warrior lord AND a Hydra, there was pretty much no way he was going to get through all of their hit points. -I'm reasonably sure Polymorph Other is coded to auto-fail against lords, but you can certainly use it to take Balkoth's supporting units out of the game. -During turn 173, I'm very surprised Life didn't try to rush you down with all of those Arachnids, as well as mercenary rushing you since you were in penalizing terrain! You got pretty lucky there. -As you saw on turn 188, it's too easy to "forget about" your Capitol cities while you're out adventuring! The garrison you left in the Chaos capitol city had been placed there over 100 turns ago without any combat in the meantime, meaning they were severely under-leveled. It's often a good idea to revisit your holdings periodically to train up new units and keep them up to speed with everyone else. Losing a Capitol also entails a significant loss of resources, making it quite devastating in the late game. -Also, whenever you see the message telling you that you have new followers, it's a good idea to take a quick look at all of your Capitols and make sure you don't have any empty slots in your productive buildings that could be filled by them. Lords of Magic is in many ways a game of resources and you don't want to pass up on any possible advantages.

@@Meister_Murloc I understand! This was just my absolute favorite game as a kid and I get so excited when I see other people enjoying it. I also hate hardcore optimizing everything, which is why I usually refuse to do cheese strategies like just summoning a bunch of Dragons to go hunt down enemy lords, or stationing flying units over impassable terrain. One very fun silly strategy you can try in the future is with the Chaos spell, Reincarnation. The game sees all Mage Tower units as in the same "class" as a lot of the marauding units like bears, tigers, panthers, etc. It's so fun to take a bunch of dead Goblins and respawn them as creatures you normally can't get in the game!

My childhood favorite game...and still occasionally play it on steam. I would say just a tip for those who don't know that your unit can click on defend and click on itself with the shield cursor. That will add half of its attack value to shield and halt its movement, so it can essentially be a brick wall. You can also attack with your chaos lord, and defend in between strikes, so it's essentially like parrying. A bit micro heavy, but very rewarding for solo playthroughs!
