For folks looking this up now that we’ve got a Switch port, killing an enemy with a Djinn it’s elementally weak to gives more xp (and gold and item drop chance). For this line of enemies, that’s Mercury Djinn. You’ll know it works when you see a mix of colours in the death animation.

Yes it does. Every enemy has an elemental weakness and when it is exploited, you do more damage + you get more exp when you kill it with the djinn element the momster is weak to. @Diego.Garcia2764

Also, when you do this weakness-kill, you quadruple your chance for loot drop from the monster. For this specific monster, it's the Dark Matter - a rare forgeable item than can be remade into a variety of strong, but cursed equipment. Which means, there are other monsters better to target this way for their rare and more useful drops - for example the Cruel Dragon in this dungeon, which is weak to Mars (fire) Djinni and drops a very powerful Light Blade, the Tisiphone Edge. Also it should be noted that, at least in the GBA games (not sure with the Switch ports), there are ways to abuse RNG to ensure those drops, making even the very rare ones rather obtainable.

i remember 1 time years ago i spend a lot of time farming these birds, at the end of the battle was nearly level 60 and dont remember how i started but they never scape past battle was kill one and the other scapes they come for revege

@@_extreme_ Lógico. La estrategia consiste en que el poseedor de dichos Djinns se los reasigne a cada turno para poder utilizarlos nuevamente.
