I suffer a lot in my life for indecisiveness.

I can relate. I think indecisiveness lives in my head. So when that's really present, it's time to go for a walk, take a moment to connect to my breath, or anything else that will get me into my body. It helps to slow me down and allow me to feel into my next step with less fear and worry. What have you found works for you?

I do so much enjoy your videos, short and with a point to each of them. It's only been a few years since I've finally acknowledged to myself that I'm an introvert, heaven forbid, and your video a few back made me chuckle how I had not seen that truth about myself for so long. Being introspective, I accepted that about myself, but introverted proved so difficult for me to see. I always saw myself as quiet and reserved, a lone wolf, I thought too. It's tough to look in a mirror sometimes, who we think we are, and who we actually are can sometimes clash. I do have a witty sense of humor, and making light of myself always has my close friends breaking out in laughter. Know that your videos are appreciated!!!

Self-acceptance is a beautiful thing. It's freeing, really, allowing us to create from who we are instead of resisting it. And that creation, sometimes involves change. Sometimes is celebrating who we are. Thank you for your note. I appreciate hearing your perspective. 🥰

Change is possible, but I think unless you literally have a situation that brings you to your knees and open to seeing yourself in a different light, then other than small things, character issue change is very difficult. For me, after my divorce I looked at who I was and was disappointed in myself. Took a lot of soul searching and therapy to move out of the darkness I felt I was in. These videos are so short, and yet very powerful. Makes you think, which is not a bad thing.

You are right, we only really change when there's a good enough reason. And the bigger or deeper the behavior, the bigger the reason needs to be. It takes a lot to move something very heavy. Amen to therapy and finding your way through. Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad the videos are valuable for you.

Hi Kristeen. This video popped up in my home feeds and I had a listen. I've had a similar experience and I've since learned to just breathe in the moment and actually be present in that moment. Say you walk out to your car again and 20 steps later you realise you've left your phone on your desk; snap out of the "I must turn back and get it," by practicing a simple breathing exercise of breathing in slowly(counting to 4), and exhaling slowly(counting to 6), all through your nose - you may close your eyes for better concentration(repeat thrice if you must). That way you ease out of your hyper-productive state, and appreciate in being in the moment and actually enjoy that 2 minute walk to your car, without doing anything else. Next time your children want your attention on something; shut the laptop/leave the documents and give them that amount of time they require in that moment of undivided attention, that way you're fully being in the moment, appreciating the moment, and also planting a seed to them to be invested, in moments, in their growing life. This also helps in eliminating mental clutter of trying to be forever multi-tasking whereas you're just bombarding yourself with distraction. You also answered yourself there by saying, you don't have to hyper-produce all the time, be in the moment, it's okay; and believe me it is. Appreciate every moment you find yourself in, and that way you're better in-tune with self.

Hi Wandile. Thanks for watching this video. Great tip - breathing for me is a near-perfect antidote to not being present. It also helps me make a thoughtful choice versus a knee-jerk reaction. Thank you for the reminder that it is okay to not hyper-produce and to just be in the present moment.😊
