Thank you for this video. I recently had Frontier Fiber installed (after using Frontier Cable) and I have a Moca installed after the ONT in my garage then via coax to another Moca inside my home. This Moca is attached via ethernet cable to my eeros 6 Pro. After installation I was getting the speeds I paid for (500GB) however over the span of 10 days the speeds gradually began to slow down where images would take long to load. I thought i would unplug the eeros modem and moca and then power it back on however this did not bring the speed back. I contacted Frontier support and they told me to check the eeros app on my phone and run a speed test. The test resulted in speeds of 528 up and down. They then said it was my devices. Frustrated, I unplugged the moca next to my ONT and powered it back on and now I get the fast speeds again. 10 days later (approximately as before) the speeds gradually decreased. Do you have any opinion as to why unplugging the moca next to the ONT brings the speeds back whereas unplugging the moca next to the eeros modem does not? Do you think it might be an intermittant issue with the moca adapter or is there something else i'm missing?
@UncleMikeRetro2 күн бұрын
hello! Is your eero 6 doing the router functions for you or do you have another router in the setup? I suspect not. Ok then, your ONT should be connected to the WAN port on the eero 6. Then the LAN port of the eero 6 can be connected to the first MoCA device then coaxial to the other MoCA device. When you get to the 2nd MoCA device (in your garage?) you can just use that LAN port or do what I do and connect the 2nd MoCA device to a switch for even more ports. The important thing is to always have the ONT directly going to the router (or your eero 6 in this case) then the LAN port of the router out to the 1st MoCA device. Try it.

Powerful technology is usually more fragile for valid reasons, like trying to fit more pins in a smaller area to send more information
@vorttex_16 сағат бұрын
@salenstormwing as an Electrician for IT and Systemtech, I have to disagree. The PGA array is basically faded out of the industrie besides new CPUs for am4 but those are just refreshes. And there isn't really anything that you can do wrong when building a PC today. If you don't use violence, it's idiot proof! Its the same for the Serverracks I build for work. In today's world even the fiberoptical components are easy to use. If you manage to bend something with modern hardware it's just stupid and 99,9% the fault of the one assembling it, besides that you can only do damage if you do it VERY wrong! Even ESD with today's Hardware is by far not as dangerous to the hardware, as it was back then because of IC's made to protect from HV... (everything has it's limits tho)

@@UncleMikeRetro Also, mine has a truly massive OEM passive heatsink that's about twice as tall as the cartridge itself, and it's directly cooled by a 120mm fan that directs air out the side vent. You don't usually see such massive cooling solutions unless you're working with modern hardware.
