As far as I know, the four guardians were created using X DNA to ensure they would follow and uphold his motto of Justice, at the same time, giving them their own personalities. They don't share X's soul, because I don't think that's how it works. Also, if I'm not mistaken, when X sealed the Dark Elf way too long after Zero's sealing, when he used his body, the Mother elf came out temporarily and turned him into a Cyber Elf, one with a lot more power than a regular elf. The sole way to revive X would be to fuse the Elf which is his soul, with the original body but that was destroyed. Another thing I'm pretty sure I know is that at least Harpuia knows about the secret of the sealed zone with X's body in it, since he's the only one of the three remaining gardians that actually want to prioritize the protection of the area instead of fighting Zero. In the end, Zero series is the one with the most lore but with the least hardware to deal with it, which just shows that if a series deserve a Remake one day that's the one. I love the X series, but I find the story of the Zero series fascinating.

I hate so much that the other 7 challenges are a piece of cake and only the remote mine challenge is something that can take hours. Come on, either make them all easy or make them all difficult, but that imbalance is uncomfortable

Honestly the best way to make his story matter is for him to successfully kill X and leave him wondering why its not satisfying enough potentially searching for a grander purpose. Some of the best antagonists and anti-heroes start out like Vile with some turn making it clear their story only was beginning.

I absolutely adore the design of the Gaea Armor (I generally think X5 has the best armor designs, with Falcon being my favorite overall). It just makes me really sad that it's so terrible in gameplay. I think being able to upgrade it would have helped a lot, and just... well, what they did with it in X DiVE, making X more durable and more of a general powerhouse when he has it equipped.

Sinc they'll probably make a X9 sinc the story ended on such a clifhanger, i Hope they revisit the armor and make it complete

From a design perspective I do agree that the mega man zero games having its own art style to separate itself from the mega man X games is a great way for people to recognize it. After all this is Zero’s chapter, hence the title mega man zero. Series lore wise, we can only really speculate. My theory is that when zero voluntarily encapsulates himself in the ending to X6 (or was it X4?) maverick hunter scientists and researchers starts picking away at zero’s body to both study and eradicate the Wily virus. Why his whole body? well it seems like if anyone gets way too close of contact with zero they contract the wily virus, hence why sigma went maverick. Another piece of evidence is when gate explains that after he found a piece of zero’s parts, he felt immense knowledge and power that felt too much to contain. At least that’s what I think as the reason behind that bit of lore.

Yeah. I would have loved a Star Force 4 mainly to see Duo again. Would be perfect to blend in with Lan's Descendant to the mix as well.

As a kid who played Mega Man X on SNES faithfully, when I got to middle school and would see Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Zero in gaming magazines or boxart I didn't like them. I would refer to Battle Network Mega Man as "that lame jack in Mega Man". Yeah don't know what I was thinking, both those series are dope after finally playing them with the Legacy Collections.

To be honest i always thought Zero from Megaman Zero series is just Zero from past but after losing TONS of armor due to rust, simple explanation, whole mechanical body was untouched for over 100 years so rust, some mecha bugs etc was eating his body and all he got left was actual GBA Body.
