The Lagos State government purpose was never to clean the area, only used it as an excuse to drive certain people out of the area...

People should be appreciative of the efforts of the Lagos State government here. The Lagos State government is doing what only National governments are able to do in many developed countries despite the many challenges the Lagos State government has encountered for years while trying to put up this project.

I haven't been to the whole of the south West but I think the only ok city/state in the southwest is Lagos. And I think only Lagos and Abuja are quite okay cities compared to standard developed cities in other countries. Port harcourt is the 3rd most developed city in Nigeria, and it's just there. Nigeria is all about individuals building a nice big house without any actual infrastructure or development in the cities. It's a shame. In this 21st century, 99% of Nigeria still looks like shit. Wealth of the nation just goes into private pockets who mainly waste it abroad and for social enjoyment at home.

So it goes every 24-28 Minutes so the 72 trips means not in one direction but back and fourth. That is not very much for one of the biggest cities in the world. Such Rail should go every 5 Minutes.
@faskwillad4765
@faskwillad4765 3 күн бұрын
It's 18 minutes not 24/ 25, also Lagos blue line can't jump to 5 minutes just because it's being done in other climes. Scaling up is a gradual process as you can see they just upscaled to more trips and the 24minutes to 18 minutes. Your review is negative especially when you consider the effort put in place by the state transportation being sub national.
@rotimikayode1072
@rotimikayode1072 Күн бұрын
The Lagos State government is doing what only National governments do in developed countries. You are being unfair in your review. The Lagos State government is being stretched beyond limits doing this metro being dragged to the courts for years, paying Lawyers fees and paying off tens of thousands of landlords and homeowners, and so many other challenges. The state also did not borrow money. It is paying for the project out of its pocket despite the paucity of funds.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'd love to interview commuters on the Lagos Blueline rail, but unfortunately, there are some restrictions on creating content on the Blueline at the moment. It's sweet to talk, to commence any project there is it with ordinary mouth?! Govt can clear anywhere anytime to commence project after 10yrs, project is executed by govt or collabo with private, with money not matter of we will. Karmu in Abuja was cleared and demolished during elrufai 2007, till date no project.. it's better than sone people putting hope on it, which mayb difficult to clear when it's needed
