Thanks for the video. A couple of questions, Does the visor open incrementally for more air flow. Did you have any issues installing the intercom. I would be using a Cardo Spirit..
@EdwardJobling3 күн бұрын
I appreciate your honest review, good job! I too have an LS2 Valient 2 and I agree with the chin pads, they do take a while to compress but the chin pads also make me feel safe and protected too! The chin bar certainly can make the chin area more snug but I did find that by stretching the helmet and pads out with my hands without the chin bar down made an enormous difference on both the bad tightness and how snug the chin bar is. I do find the helmet quite even with the chin bar back and visor open. I normally wear polarized sun glasses which in all other helmets I get teary eyes but not with this helmet. Also, I have found with the chin bar up and the visor up the air flow feels great especially in this 100 degree heat we are having. The helmet does not move around when you look left and right and feels balanced enough that I don't get neck pain. I use a Cardin Edge communication system which fits very well and is clear as a conversation without the helmet. Once the the chin bar and and pads are adjusted physically the helmet has turned it to my favorite. Of which my wife and I both have the identical helmet. Thanks for the review and be safe on your travels.

Thanks for your very complete impressions of this Helmet and I am happy you enjoyed the video. I still have mine but I took all the padding out recently for a washing and it is definitely showing its 4 years of use so it might be time for a replacement. I will most likely go for a open faced with full face shield as I have a Shoei full face for the cooler weather. cheers and safe riding. 👍🇨🇦

Thanks for your comment and for your interest in my channel. For the purpose you mentioned the Carver would be a good choice. You should also look at the 356 from the same era. It has two separate cabins which can be useful. If the Mariner is the choice I would look for a 2004 or newer. It has a nicer cabin layout that our 2001. Good luck with your search.

What oil are you using on your yearly changes? If memory serves, your had the RT Ltd, now the F3, which machine do you prefer having owned both? Like the trailer.

What do you do with your "spyder trailer" during periods in which you drive your Can-Am into various towns for site seeing/touring purposes? Do you simply unhitch it and leave it at your hotel parking lot while your site seeing? If so, have you ever had any problems with theft etc?
@BikeBoatandTravel2 ай бұрын
We just leave the trailer at the hotel and we put a ball lock in the hitch. so that someone could not just tow it away. When it is attached to the Spyder have it attached and locked.

@@BikeBoatandTravel , thank you so much, I really appreciate the feedback. My wife and I are considering purchasing two (his/hers) 2024 Can-Am Sea To Sky edition since we very recently retired. However, we're waiting for them to resolve their Apple CarPlay issues. If they don't resolve the issues soon, we'll then consider the 2025 Can-Am Sea To Sky. 🙂

I had heard that BRP had added Apple Car Play for the 24's but did not realize that they were having issues. I hear that Android / Google has not allowed the use of Android Auto which I am sure is ruffling some feathers. I wish BRP had gone that route in the first place as that BRP Connect system was not good. I wish I could have my Apple Car Play on mine, I use in my car all the time. Best of luck on your purchase whatever you decide and congrats on the retirement, 10 years for us as of May 30th. Thanks for your comment and for your interest in the channel. 👍🇨🇦

Murphy's law!!! The only thing I watched your video for was to find out what the button fwd of the Reverse button was, and you never even showed it 😒😒
@BikeBoatandTravel2 ай бұрын
You are correct. That is the BRP CONNECT button. I don’t use that software so that is why I probably missed it the video.
@AndreChampoux2 ай бұрын
@@BikeBoatandTravel Perhaps it's time to make a new video. Your video is titled "WHAT DO ALL THOSE BUTTONS DO??", but you don't cover *all* of the buttons. There was even a part where you said you don't use it so you don't know. It's either *all* of the buttons or it's not. Maybe your 2nd video can go more into detail with the display and all of the parts, even cover the trips & stats, screen display adjustment, etc. Anyway, I learned about the App yesterday, so I found out what that button does (the hard way). If you do cover the App in a new video, please use an Android & an IPhone, so everyone gets in on it, including the software it can connect to. Also cover that if it's not working, it's probably your USB cable (I learned that the hard way too) **Thanks
@AndreChampoux2 ай бұрын
As per your comment at approx 14:49, no, they don't know what they are doing. If they are charging to use their map instead of letting us use Google's Android Auto, it's because they are money-greedy. Just like why you can't put a key-ring on your key, you need to pay extra for a key-ring holder. It's total BS. A 2024 Sea-To-Sky is over $40,000 Canadian, yet they still won't include Android-Auto or a key-ring holder? But hey, they include a suite case for the front of your ride, which you will rarely use, but the key is used EVERY RIDE. BRP needs to pool their owners and get feedback so they can be made aware of the "real world" they are apparently not aware of.
@BikeBoatandTravel2 ай бұрын
I’d did a bit of checking and as I am sure you probably know the 24’s come with apple car play but not android auto. The reason behind this as I understand it is that Android / Google does not allow it to be used on motorcycles. Anyway, thanks for your comments and for your in the channel.
@AndreChampoux2 ай бұрын
@@BikeBoatandTravel BRP lies about why they don't support Android Auto. They blame Google for not allowing it on bikes, but the Gold Wing has it and so do the Harley's. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nZN4kqR3zNDMhaM.html The BRP Pro App allows you to connect to Apple or Android. Just not Android Auto, but Sygic Maps which sucks: 1) Because it's pay to use 2) Because it can't find a lot of the addresses that Google Maps can.

@BikeBoatandTravel4 ай бұрын
She ended up going away from the modular style all together. We got a full refund for her LS2 as they could not repair or replace it in a timely fashion. We got her a Shoei RF SR full face as it was near the cooler end of our season and the helmet was also much lighter. The following season she got a Shoei J-Cruise open face for the warmer weather riding. I still have my LS2 but I use pretty much 100% open and I also have RF SR full face.
