@YD_. That's some misleading information right there... Attention Aware not only prevents auto-lock and lowers the volume of alarms/ringtones when you're looking at your device, but also makes sure the iPhone only unlocks when your eyes are open and looking directly at the screen. Just try to open your phone screen while pointing your eyes far to the right, but with your face still directed at the screen. Then, slowly move your eyes towards the screen and you will see that then, and only then, will the phone unlock! For this to happen, these options must be enabled: "Require Attention for Face ID" and "Attention Aware Features". You will find them in [Settings > Face ID & Passcode].

Well, you can say a lot but Google, Microsoft and Apple sure came through on that threat. If only they cared as much about their users as their bottom line. No doubt they'll fire some more developers to increase their already immense profits. In a few more years, after passkeys scammed enough people out of their account data, they can pull the trigger on their end game plan and not allow normal, secure logins anymore at all.
@raduandreiq12 күн бұрын
I'm sorry... But you're too lazy... How hard is it to put your finger down or to glance at your phone to unlock it? It's not as if you don't already do these things to use your apps normally... Moreover, it's not that hard to enter a passcode once a week or so... Is it?
@raduandreiq12 күн бұрын
Isn't it easier to always seamlessly glance at the phone to unlock it, rather than to be forced to enter the full passcode whenever "Smart ID" decides you are in an unfamiliar "sketchy" place?

My phones have always had two SIM card slots, and more recently eSIM as well. This is useful when traveling to Asia, & the Americas. I still get my home country SMS and voice if needed, but my phone will use the foreign SIM (or eSIM) by default for all data and voice while I'm out traveling. Makes my life easier.

Why is XCode not just a web app? It seems like it would be more flexible to do the coding on the web, and have my device subscribed to a service which pushes down the latest compiled version of my app for testing. As it stands now, I spent $900 on a MacBook Air when I was dying to spend $1600 on an IPad Pro. Apple is hurting itself with this Xcode limitation.

At work, I have a M1 Max with 64 Gig. I can't afford that for home. I just don't know if 16 or 24 is going to be fast enough. When I start my computer in the AM, I start Think or Swim Charting, Discord, Brave Browser with 8 tabs, Adobe Premier Video editing, and Tasty Trade trading platform. It runs fine on the M1 Max 64. I don't want a Pro. I want the size of the Air

My opinion is KZfaqrs who are in the in crowd and at these events, are watching too many other creators themselves. If you just focus on the content you want to make, You wouldn't be worried that your videos aren't innovative or creative. I do my best but I'm just a truck driver who loves tech products and wants a better life. So I do what I love and try to help people. I'm not going to let other people push me or other KZfaqrs make me feel like I need to change. Unless, That change is improving my content and my life.

I thought I was a tech enthusiast, until I got an iPhone SE. Yes, I absolutely love my iPhone 13, but I absolutely find myself using the SE3 (my backup phone) more often than I thought. I love Touch ID for authenticating, and the pocketable form factor of the iPhone SE. The performance is on par with the iPhone 13 (because of the A15 Bionic Chip), and the battery life isn’t as bad as some say it is. I love the SE.

Idiots should just put the power button from the iPad Mini onto the iPhone. Nobody has ever complained about modern fingerprint sensors, which are now miles better than in-screen and old Apple TouchID sensors. The convenience of unlocking your phone with any finger just by unlocking the display with a click, from your pocket even, is far greater than the convenience of having to look at the phone dead on every time. I also wouldn’t mind changing tap to unlock to two taps. That way holding your phone doesn’t keep waking your display and scrolling media back and forth from your pants pocket. Single tap is their dumbest Lock Screen idea ever.
