I do hear it. Although i dont think it translated well on the camera audio vs what you hear in person since there is other ambient noise outside and going on in the cabin like you stated in text at the beginning. That is kinda weird. I wonder what is it about the engine design that is causing that. I was really considering this model. Ill probably still take one out for a test drive and see what happens.

QUESTION for you- I had a set of expensive WeatherTechs floorliners few years ago- and hated them. They are a very hard, somewhat shiny plastic. When new, they were beautiful. In less than a year they had gone through one Ohio winter, meaning slush and gritty dirt. That hard, shiny plastic turned into a mass of scratches, and they looked like cheap junk. For my next car I got a different brand that was more rubbery, and they have that dimpled surface like your Kia liners. They show no scratches, wear well, and scrub up beautifully. But they don’t make them for my new Kia. Question for you- I’m looking for a set for my new Niro. Are those Kia mats hard or a little more soft/rubbery? Do you think they will show scratches?

@Everyone, save your time do not watch this BS video. This guy has no idea what he is talking about. He states he traded his new Rav4 in because it was making a noise he did not like instead of getting it fixed. He also claims Kia's loose value by the thousands all because CarMax of all people would only give him 28k on a 33k Kia, yeah dude its because its CarMax, that has nothing to do with the value of the car. He also complains about the noise produced by the hybrid system, says it drives him bonkers and refuses to believe its supposed to make a noise even thought it flat out states it in the owners manual. Oh he also stated that 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid does not come with adaptive cruse control which is also untrue, just because he does not know how use it does not mean it does not come with it. This guy is a total snowflake and I truly hope that the does not vote in November, its people like him is the reason why we have a puppet in the white house right now!

3:56 2 very important things that nobody has mentioned 1) don’t go from backwash straight to the filter setting, always rinse first or else you will put shit right back in your pool that you don’t want. 2) pick one direction to rotate your filter position, either clockwise or counter clockwise. This wears the gasket out evenly and it will last much longer.

I almost bought a 2024 Kia Sportage ex hybrid. While I was waiting 2 months for it to come to the dealership I kept studying and Found some negative things that made me nervous. I ended up getting the 2024 Toyota RAV4 hybrid XLE. I am very happy with that decision. I really wanted adaptive cruise control and wireless apple CarPlay. I Know a lot of people have the Sportage with no problems but I am glad I got the RAV4. I get average 45 mpg n the 2000 miles I have had it. Good luck with your Mazda, I watched your video on the noise in your Kia and that is definitely not right.

I currently have a 2015 Mazda 6 and LOVE it. I was looking at Kia/Hyundai for an EV but really didn't like what I found when researching them cars. So now I'm thinking of a Hybrid Toyota, maybe a Prius or Camry but I didn't know about the CX-50 coming as a hybrid...especially with Toyota's help. Might have to wait and see what happens as I much prefer Mazda and the little touches it has vs Toyota.

Thanks for noting that the sound quality is better (a lot better) when you plug in your phone. Most people neglect to mention that. That's why the wireless android situation doesn't bother me. Plus, you can still listen to music, KZfaq and other apps wirelessly, if you like, while using the vehicles built in navigation. I haven't noticed the rattle in mine. Gas mileage-wise, I don't drive much; mainly just driving to work. With my last vehicle, a 2022 tucson non-hybrid, I had to fill up every three weeks. With this Sportage Ex hybrid, I got it on 5/31, and my tank is currently, as of 6/22, at 41%. I'm not going to need to fill up for another couple of weeks. That's pretty cool!

That certainly does not preclude "infant mortality" problems, but it should catch any Obvious Out of Box glitches - like your obnoxious noises. The typical automobile - per "experts" - will lose around 10% of its value the minute you drive it off the lot, and roughly 20% over the first year. Seems like you received an initial offer around that 20% mark, which is what should be expected (pro buyer is always going to start low) - dealer gave you more, perhaps out the kindness of their hearts, but also perhaps because they know they will be able to sell the car for closer to MSRP. As far as Excessive Depreciation for Kia's is concerned, CarEdge ranks 17 Popular Brands for 5 Year Resale Value: Kia ranks exactly in the middle (9th spot: 4% points below the top, and 5% above the bottom). Sorry, but a 4% valuation difference over a 5 year period is not sufficient for *ME* to select a vehicle that is otherwise Less Desirable. A used car will depreciate in value from it's wholesale price when new. MSRP has built in profit for the dealer. The $500 discount you received is small compared to what you would have received before the 2020 year where a $2000+ rebate from factory was typical for KIa or Hyundai. Post 2020 year there were car shortages, this is most likely why the value of that Toyota was as high as it was. So the $28k you got for the Kia is not as bad as you think. Last new car ( Mazda 6) I bought at $4500 off MSRP .
