Thanks for sharing!! I saved hundreds without having to buying a new laptop!! I did struggle a little with the Connector. There was no pin to lift. And my pull tan tape was on the bottom corners of my old screen. And lastly, please have the screen in place befit you push the tape down. I had to pry mine back off

Thanks for this video. My little brother shattered his digitizer and replacing it at a repair shop would cost about €150. We bought a new digitizer including replacement tools for €40. Now i can do it myself and save my little brother a lot of money

Try super glue, plastic is usually very good with glue. Else you can try getting a replacement part on eBay.

Please answer me, I need to know if I can change my non-touch t480s screen to a Touch Screen? Do I need another part? Is it even possible?
@Laptopscreen
@Laptopscreen 28 күн бұрын
It's possible. You would need a 40-pin touch cable together with a 40-pin touch LCD. You likely have a 30-pin cable and a 30-pin LCD. The motherboard side connector should be able to accommodate either 40-pin or 30-pin LCD cables.

This video helped a great deal. On mine, I found that the video connector had a clip that went around the bottom of the base of the connector opposite to where the cable attaches. I had to lift this clip before the cable would disconnect. Thank you for the help.

My screen started flickering. Do i need full lcd replacement?. I can send you video of the problem.
@Laptopscreen
@Laptopscreen Ай бұрын
If there are no obvious cracks on it, then it's best to check/replug the video cable at the back of the LCD. If the screen flickers as you move the hinges, than you need a new video cable - current one is frayed in the hinges. Connect an external monitor/tv and check if that also flickers - if it does your video card maybe failing. And if none of that applies - replace LCD.

watching this, to me mine doesnt seem like a hinge issue, it feels like the black piece that connects the screen bezel to the back of the cover where it bends to form that L shape on the bottom just popped off

Two changes for me 1) do not stick that screen down until you know the screen is working again. 2) reuse the tape if you can as it’ll be better than else you buy online

hello i wanted to ask something, so my old laptop (MSI GL65 9SFK-470ID) screen is B156HAN8.0 which is a 144hz, and i replaced it with a NE156FHM-NX2 thats also a 144hz screen, but it only shows 120hz only in the advanced display setting ? can you help me figure out the problem?
@Laptopscreen
@Laptopscreen 2 ай бұрын
The specs for NE156FHM-NX2 do list 144Hz as top refresh rate. That usually means that your machine (Windows) is unfamiliar with that monitor and does not have a monitor driver file that lists all of this particular panel's display operating modes. You can either wait for a Windows update to include the newer LCD models or you can use Custom Resolution Utility to force operating modes.

Thank you a million! I had a question about the Vaio SVD112 DUO screen; I have one, and unfortunately, some sticky liquid is leaking, I think it is crystal liquid, but is it possibile to separate the digitizer from LCD carefully and clean this viscous liquid? Honestly, I don't know what the problem is, and also I wonder why that sticky liquid does not exist, for example, between the digitizer and the LCD of this IPad? Thank you in advance for your response.
@Laptopscreen
@Laptopscreen 2 ай бұрын
The liquid crystal solution is definitely not viscous. It needs to be well free-flowing to reorient crystals contained in it very fast on-demand to shutter the light to each individual pixel. In our experience, viscous liquids found in laptops/tablets are usually food related: pop, wine, juice. Sugary solutions become viscous after evaporating most of their water.

@@Laptopscreen Thank you a million! So maybe I'll able to repair it. Because the lcd works. But the touch screen, on the other hand, unfortunately does not work. And between touch screen (digitizer) and LCD seems something like glue.
@kasraa4840
@kasraa4840 Ай бұрын
@Laptopscreen Unfortunately, the LCD was attached to the digitizer by a sort of glue... and so I made the situation ever worse 😂
