Interesting on a Yukon gear set you had that big ole chunk out of the ring… just bought a yukon set for the 1500 and same thing, ends of the ring gear on 3 or 4 teeth are all chipped up…

hey i got a chevy Silverado k1500 1990 with the 700r4 and i went to do a ls swap i got a trans am 1998 with the ls1 in it and i would like to pull it and put the moter in my obs what do you think could it be done
@HsPerformanceWi
@HsPerformanceWi 4 күн бұрын
anything can be done, but I wouldn't waste my time with the 700r4. Getting the cable geometry correct is a huge PITA. I'd go right to a 60 or 80e for the tunability aspect alone.

@@HsPerformanceWi only thing about that I just got the 700r4 built and got it upgraded a little not going to do anything crazy with the the LS1 going to put a cam in it going in a lifted truck four-wheel-drive and where do you get all your wiring

wow great info just what I needed. if you could explain what the concept of that crush washer is I'd appreciate it. I used my old one guess I shouldn't do that? Also which side does the wider / fat side go to? Thanks
@HsPerformanceWi
@HsPerformanceWi 27 күн бұрын
crush sleeve maintains the required preload on the pinion bearings, should never be reused because it crushes to the proper length when the appropriate amount of drag is achieved. there is no fat side on a new sleeve, that's an effect of it being compressed

OK, first off let me say your DIY automatic wash cabinet is awesome and by the looks of it the door probably seals better than a commercial unit costing 10x as much(Redline). The bad part is I'm currently repairing/rewiring a used pottery kiln to build a parts oven and now you've got me wanting to find a broken commercial freezer... I'm gonna need a bigger shop.
