This particular school was pre spawn but there was post spawn fish that I caught too… kind of all stages haha

To be honest I’m not sure! I do know that it turns those fish on like no other tho when they pump or back pump. I couldn’t visibly see any current or feel and current where I was at

In your opinion, do you think the sound of the pellets make a differnce or more the color of the 500DD crank? I haven't been too successful with a crank, but i like the lipless cranks. Awesome catches an cool for the kid to come in and fish.

I think the sound and action matter more than the color, and in this case these fish had seen a lot of loud high frequency crank baits and I think the more subdued dull rattle in the 500dd was different and they liked it.. and keep trying, they’ll bite it eventually!

So the crankbait will run deeper, and low when fighting a fish to try and keep them from coming up to jump and shake your lure out

Nice! I live 20 minutes from Saguaro and NEVER have luck. I have a cheap depth/fish finder. Any places on the lake specifically you recommend?

To be honest, it just depends on time of the year and what’s going on… I will say that they usually stack up pretty thick in certain areas, so if a spot isn’t good, leave and keep trying spots tell you find them

Both but most times I’ll graph to find the area and then use livescope to make sure my crankbait is getting to the depth I want it to go to.
