There is a lot of misinformation on this video. What he doesn't tell you is that these systems have more sensors, meaning there will be more maintenance, the weatherguard he says is unique to this level is not true, many Trane models have weatherguards. It's a catch 22. Pay more for the efficiency and lower running costs vs. pay less for a 2 stage which require less maintenance costs. from my experience, its a wash.

I'm a wannabee engineer as well. Of course a split unit is superior to a window unit. Price wise if you only have a couple hundred dollars go with a window unit for more budget friendly.

I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

I'm sure this guy owns a air conditioning company most likely. Because if you get a mini split installed by a professional company they're going to want $4,000 or more. When you can buy a window unit from Walmart for a few hundred bucks and some two-by-fours from Home Depot. Cut the square out in the side of the wall where you want it install the unit wrap the inside and outside with some decorative trim, and then maybe build a small stand or some gussets outside for the weight of the coil in the back and you're good to go. Like I said these newer window units aren't as bad as the old ones they're not as loud, and they have thermostats built-in and remote controls no different than the indoor portion of the mini split

$4000 to install a split system? I can literally buy 20 window ac units for that price and still be comfortable. Our central ac Unit busted out on us a month ago. They want $2400 to replace a condenser coil for my central ac United. I bought a 12000btu window unit for $320 from Walmart. I live in a mobile home so everything is close together. I have that baby installed in the dining room window which practically cools the entire home….and I have a 5000btu unit that’s installed in the master bedroom that I bought for $120 2 years prior to the central unit busting out on us again. Window units are loud, but they get the job done

Nowadays actually make window units that are in lot quieter and they have thermostat built into him so they could turn on and off depending on the temperature of the room no different than a mini split. Of course the mini-split is the way to go as far as you know how the Aesthetics and everything look but as far as price wise and difficulty of installing the window unit is probably the way to go if you're just trying to put one single unit in the house or in the trailer whatnot, you could basically cut a hole in the wall and put your window unit in there and then frame around it with decorative trim and it basically do the same thing

I bought a Trane. Just vailed because a couple of tubes in the coil rubbed against each other until one of the tubes failed and leaked all the Freon out. Can't be fixed, they said just buy another one. On top of all that my XL controller has to be updated by the dealer, but the dealer doesn't know how to do it, and Trane will not help a homeowner. They just tell you to contact another dealer. I've called dealers across the country and none of them update the controllers. (Why would Trane generate new firmware if it wasn't better, but the dealers that claim they are factory trained, but they cannot update the firmware.

Fyi, Trane has lost it’s edge. I have an under warranty L20i that the dealers cannot get parts for. It’s been down for 3 weeks and parts will not show up for another 2 weeks. When it works it cools like any ac, when it doesn’t you’re screwed.

Don't need to replace EVERY month? Depends on where you live and how dirt they get. Example, where I live...summer yes, winter no. All due to dust and dust does not fly around when the land is covered by a foot of snow. Name names? Really? First would they give a hoot, second, why would you even say that if you won't name names? Make you feel bigger?

From what I'm reading, an no electrostatic filter receives a very high MERV rating. I don't think that's desirable for most people.

Think for yourself whether you should buy LG's Dual Inverter AC or not..!! My request to the video watchers is not to make the mistake of buying any LG Dual Inverter model AC even by mistake after watching the paid promotion video.

I was just commenting that same thing of top, he's looking at an older window unit that's loud. But these newer window units are no different than a mini-split. They have remote controls, built-in thermostat, and they're a lot quieter then they used to be. Honestly if I had a mobile home or I wasn't trying to spend a lot of money I would buy a bunch of window units and cut a hole-in-the-wall and actually install them in the wall professionally and make him look neat with decorative trim wrapped around the unit and everything. What does guys not telling you either he's talking about controlling every room, you would need to install an indoor system in each of those rooms, that all work off the same condenser outside but you would still need an individual unit in each room. Which is the same as buying three or 4 window units in installing them in the wall in each room. The only difference is each window unit is a few hundred bucks compared to that mini-split you're talking about $4,000 all the way up to $7,000 depending on how many units you want to put inside
