Patients are losing muscle mass because the doctor that prescribed it didn’t do what they should have and educated. Patients arent being educated about food. Just like with a gastric bypass they need to go to an informed dietitian. They need to learn about protein, fiber, fat, sugar etc intake and portion sizes. Without eating enough protein muscle mass is a real issue. It’s not uncommon that people don’t understand what various foods do to our bodies in general but add a medicine that slows down digestion. Having a fat laden meal sitting in your stomach not being digested can cause some really unpleasant side effects. If you were mildly lactose intolerant before, now you will be severely lactose intolerant. Meal planning is crucial to make sure you are eating enough calories and needed nutrition each day. This also helps when you aren’t experiencing hunger. Set a timer to remind yourself to eat 5 small portion meals. Take a daily multivitamin and if getting enough protein and fiber is a struggle you can add iron and fiber supplements. Nothing is without potential side effects. But being obese has some horrible health risks. Using these drugs wisely and educating yourself on nutrition may still result in other issues but in the meantime you reduce the risks associated with obesity and you can establish healthy eating habits and obtain the knowledge to continue eating healthier.

When I don’t eat my glucose is higher and I either gain weight or don’t lose. When I eat a ton I will lose weight and my glucose is lower. I also have PCOS.

Maybe your blood sugar went that high because you have been doing keto for so long. It was a shock to have that high glycemic fruit. Your body metabolism was not geared for it. I would say that is most likely and not that grapes are an awful food to eat. Keto can be a great health tool but I have concerns over only doing keto diet forever. Some periods of low carb, with low glycemic carbs, might actually be beneficial.

Genesis 1:11-13 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day.

my body doesnt use fire to metabolize fuel, so, stating that calories...measured by burning food with flame... matter....well that seems counterintuitive. explain why"calories matter" everyone uses the "calories" differently i would think. Carbs, fat, protien matter. calories are a bit of psuedo scence oogy boogy stuff.
