@@mphrdldn Here is some universal esoteric military knowledge. When you are part of the high command, you have to play political prostitute to secure fundings for your branch of the military. In the case of The Lion, the U-Boat campaign wasn’t set at a priority for the Third Reich. Its not a far fetch he did those things to secure funding for the U-Boat fleet. Another example, The US Military was fight a war in two theatres, on opposite sides of the globe. The Pacific Theatre, and the European Theatre. Yet the European Theatre took priority in eyes of American politicians. The men put in charge had to fight tooth and nail to secure the men and resources to fight the Japanese.
