nice spot mate! where's good for parking around there?

Thanks pal. I always park on Kinder Rd in between The Sportsman Pub and the car park further along. Very safe and always a spot later on when most are leaving the area.

Nice surroundings! How's the tent holding up in those windy conditions? Greetings Fred 🏕
@bluemonkey227 Жыл бұрын
Heya Fred. Yeah it’s a lovely woodland. Very popular so litter can be a problem. I’ve not had the MSR out in any very windy conditions yet. But I reckon provided it’s pitched right it should take a fair wind speed.

Well done rambling ranger. I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like a tit when I’m out litter picking and people are giving you funny looks and comments. I had a group of lads asking if I was on community service.
@bluemonkey227 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Ben! Yeah we shouldn’t care should we really. That’s funny that they thought you was on community Service 😂 I wouldn’t mind serving a bit of that if it was cleaning up in nature.

Thank you so much! I’m trying to raise awareness of doing abit of litter picking in the Peaks if your interested in helping out. My Group is on Fb called Peak up litter. It only started today so early days. I’d really like to see a big clean up of the snake woodlands. Hopefully see you there!

Really enjoyed that,superb. I am a photographer and was looked at Chinley Head as a good location. Some great photo ops up there. I’m also thinking of trying a wild camp (no gear yet😃) but that looks a good starting place. I’m only in Cheadle Hulme so not far at all. Great video👍
@bluemonkey2272 жыл бұрын
I’m so glad you enjoyed the Vid Drew. I’ve taken some great photos of Kinder covered in snow from Chinley Head, plus it’s a easy walk from the lay by at the bottom at peep o day farm. Mt famine gets you a bit closer tho and is worth a look. Good Luck!!

@@bluemonkey227 where was your lad? Missed him on the video. I think I'm going to head up Mount Famine area for a Wild Camp
@bluemonkey2272 жыл бұрын
Yeah he’s still come out on a wild camp yet. Need more kit yet and don’t think he’s mega fussed really. Oh Mt Famine will make for an interesting wild camp! It’s really windy up there sometimes and not many good spots. Doable tho and not many vids of a camp there, should do it! Amazing views too. Should do a “colab” some time if you fancy meeting up for a wild camp or walk mate.
@1982Noddin2 жыл бұрын
@@bluemonkey227 sounds a great idea for the future, both of the lads with us too. Gunna walk across Mount Famine and South Head and find a spot I reckon somewhere up there. Then I'll just check Chinley Churn after I think. I always have a loose plan but I also always wing it

I love a local on foot overnighter near home but I don't live on the edge of The Peak, ya lucky bugger. Shots in the morning were ace - loved how the sun looked huge behind you in the fog. Enjoyable vid and a cool camp, thanks for posting. Cheers. Rich. 👍

Another belter of a video mate. The lad reminds me a bit of our Oliver (who's 10), will glady do the distance if its an adventure rather than just a walk. Won't be for a few days till I release the videos, but I did the Hayfield William Clough Charger Rock Kinder Downfall Kinder Low Kinder End route just the other day. It was roasting.
