That makes so much more sense to keep your labels in their packaging on the tin rather than having them loose in the tin. You are the first person I've seen to do it like that. But your way keeps the labels from getting folded and crumpled, and it's so much easier to find the one you are looking for, as well as knowing when you are running out of your favourites.

I've switched from Trello, only because Trello recently told me I was almost out of room for adding cards in the free version, and I would have to pay if I wanted to add more cards. I don't like Trello nearly as much as Stash Hub, if I have to pay for one or the other, so I am now in the process of switching over to Stash Hub. I have all my sewing patterns and fabrics in Trello, as well as my yarn Stash and patterns, craft supplies, etc. So it will clear up all of my sewing things from Trello so that I have more room for my yarn and other craft items, like paper crafts, painting, jewelry making, etc. I did open a second Trello account though for my little bagmaking business, to keep track of those supplies and how many of each bag type I have, etc. But it's more of a business thing where I also do planning, etc.

Thank you for showing us around your sewing room. I did think you were very restrained with your fabrics until I saw under your bed. However there is not as much as some have, but like me agree you have to be brave sometimes and cut into that fabric you like and use it 😊 I do struggle having my threads on show as they can collect dust so don’t have mine out but in a draw ready to use. Like you I don’t use my coverstitch much, but when I do I’m so pleased I have it. I was going to get my machine out and sew but got distracted with your vlog. However you have inspired me to sort out some more of my sewing bits first ❤

Absolutely love your video, your sewing space is lovely and well organised, like you I used to sew on the dining room table but now have a sewing room what a luxury, the serious lighting is great and I'm saving up for one of those and the cutting table is brilliant xx

😅love your video, very informative. I tend to go for t-shirt dresses as they are comfortable to wear and look nice on almost anyone. The black dress you made with the long sleeves is fabulous. I think that style is very complimentary. I have made a couple in woven fabric. As far as body con goes, I think a lot of woman aren’t able to pull this off and for me, they are made for young woman with a fabulous shape. From any of your videos I e seen you look fabulous in everything.❤

Thanks for sharing all these patterns. It's very helpful. I'd like to add some patterns myself. The Sew Over It Georgie dress - it's a faux wrap with a lined bodice. I have 4 but have not lined the bodice with any of them, I just folded back the neckline and top stitched it. The Tilly and the Buttons Bettine dress. It's designed for woven fabrics but Tilly has a tutorial on her website on how to turn it into a jersey dress. I have 2 in jersey and really like them. 😊

What perfect timing, I had just given up on looking for the dress style I had in my mind …….. and then there is was in your video, the Charlotte Dress! My mum had some older magazines I was flicking through and saw a beautiful striped dress with a rope style cord as a tie in a channel, (I think it may have been Ralph Lauren) now I can make my own ❤

Love your Stasia dress. I like the asymmetrical wrap skirt on McCall’s 7893. Nancy Zieman had the 1st sewing programme on television in the US. Lovely lady and very knowledgeable. I recommend Pattern Emporium. The patterns include tons of options and often include hacks for using sleeves, etc. from other patterns. Own Your Magic dress and Seachange jumpsuit are on my to sew list. Flawsome is a lovely bodycon style. She’s just started a 50% off pattern on Fridays, too. Thanks for a great video, Angela!

I love the Westcliffe dress. I have just cut out my second. I feel very comfy and secure in the first one and really enjoyed making it. I think the Westcliff dress pattern cover photo doesn't do it any favours at all. I also like the Pattern Emporium Own Your Magic Dress. I made a stripey one a couple of weeks ago and haven't had a chance to wear it yet, but now the sun has remembered how to shine, I should get the opportunity. I avoid strappy dresses, as a 34F cup, I need more support than skinny straps allow. Lots of choice in your roundup.

I've made it twice and it looks awful on me. The crossover of the bodice is way too high for me

Another really interesting and informative video. I like the look of the Estelle dress and also the Westcliffe dress, which I’d always dismissed before. I know I’ve said it before, but my favourite is the Stasia which is so much nicer than the one shown on the packaging. I’ve made 2 midi versions (and the top!) and they’re really flattering and comfortable! Thanks Angela xxx 😘 looking forward to your jumpsuit video!

Hi Ruth - changing body shape can be so hard. Have you thought about going into some shops and trying some different RTW garments on - and experimenting with your style? You don't have to buy anything, but look at what you like and feel comfortable in. Good luck - and I hope that you find something that you want to make, love and enjoy wearing ❤️ Thank you 🥰

Great vlog as always love the information about different styles. I made the Sicily dress after I saw your picture of you in it on your cruise, but although I made it perfectly the cowl neck seemed to have an extra crease across the high bust before the cowl if you see what I mean am wondering if i need to make it bigger on that area ❤❤
@DevonThreadTales6 күн бұрын
Aaahh I think because the fabric is ct on the bias and can pull slightly across the bust area - and cause and 'extra line'! I know exactly what you mean. If you have some spare fabric try going up a size and just making the top - see if that helps. It's a lovely dress though isn't it! Thank you 🥰
