You wind the Speedmaster until it stops, till the “bump start”, yes on other vintage hand winding watches you wind till their is resistance as they don’t have a bump. It states it in the manual.

I have exactly the same, had and have other Rolex watches, but exactly THIS watch (which many refer to as an “old man's watch”) I find to be exactly the opposite. It can be worn with anything from a T-shirt to a suit, even with a Hawaiian shirt. Incredible timepiece!

Getting Rolex swag seems to be hit or miss. My Rolex AD is so stingy with the swag that my Sales Advisor has instead given me swag of other brands including watch rolls from Patek, Panerai and JLC with every Rolex purchase. I always get nice swag, just not Rolex swag.

Something looks wrong with the Air King, I think there is too much dial and the bezel too slim, it was perfect on the older model which I think is more beautiful.

All these new rolex is getting bigger and bigger and doesnt have that classic look anymore….keeping my 39mm mkii and kermit forvever.

I think air king more fun and sporty and explorer is boring and classy. Both watches are nice, just matter of your reference.

In person, I preferred the Air King because of the green on the dial, and I liked the flatter sides rather than the "roundedness" of the Explorer. It's actually good to check out the demo pieces at your AD.

Got the exact same watch here in Copenhagen, Denmark a month ago. Still getting used to wearing a gold watch in public 😅 waited 4 months for the AD to get it in stock

The aesthetic choices combined with the dimensions let this watch down for me when i tried this on many moons ago- wanted to love it- but too many compromises, even with todays much lower market value. The movement seems absolutely superb though.

I just got my today. Live in South Cali. Orange County i was at south coast plaza. Nice mall in Costa mesa. Walked past the rolex store. Think for a second. Turn around and walked in. Asked the dealer. Is there any chance u have any rolex for sale? He told me he got a 126333 datejust 41mm white dial. Price was 14750+tax. Came out to be $15900. I'm so happy im still up 1am in California time. Looking at KZfaq about my watch. 😊

Daytonas are tiny… only 38 mm but Rolex lists as 40 mm… probably because Rolex would sell a lot less if they told the truth 😅

I love this watch, it’s about £40,000 GBP retail but a new one on secondary market is £28,000, crazy depreciation. But if you like it then that’s what matters.

Its a shame they changed the bezel color to a lighter blue when they added the cerachrom. The original color matched the dial perfectly.

This one my favourite 2 tone submariner 40mm I purchased in 2005 now it’s around £13950 that’s British pounds. I own few more including Cartier. This one Best investment . From London England

I just picked up the Summer Blue fume' dial version with the solid caseback. A superb watch. While I detest the SMP 300M Diver bracelet, I like this one a lot. Microadjust clasp and a nice taper to the clasp. Much improved over earlier Omega bracelets. My AD offers to brush the bracelet finish for those who find it too bright. Less heritage than the reviewed blue or black with "fauxtina" dial, but gorgeous in its own way. Ultra versatile and highly recommended.
